been struggling the past 3 or 4 months, fluctuated between getting better and regressing. learned some decent tips, mainly mental though as my problems lie around stress and anxiety
We taking in the sunlight within an hour of waking up! (except in winter?? How the f*** does that work)
How in winter? Stack up your positive well-being habits in the winter by combining cold exposure with sunlight exposure PLUS exercise by going for at least a brisk walk but better yet a run/jog in the early morning! That hot cup of coffee will hit EXPEDITIOUSLY better after that cold exposure!
Studies have shown that 20 minutes of zone 2 cardio after a poor nights sleep help offset brain fog and allow you to feel better throughout the rest of the day, and getting that sun in early helps solidify your circadian rhythm so that the next night you hopefully have better sleep!
Melatonin + magnesium gang

My sleep is getting better. Until recently I used to hang around until 2am in the morning just for no reason. I make sure I get in bed by at latest 11:30 now since that works best for me. I also never use my phone in bed and leave it out of reach so I have to switch it off to wake up.
GOOOOOOD MORNING!!
another sleeping tip fellas (it may not apply to you)
make sure you are nasal breathing throughout the night!
if you mouth breathe at night you are A) letting your nose (which is an organ in and of itself) atrophy for hours on end, causing your nasal passages to slowly shrink which leads to even more of a tendency to mouth breathe as it becomes harder to get air through the nose and B) you are losing a TON of water via evaporation of the mouth and throat causing you to wake up dehydrated, feeling like you just went 3 rounds with poatan ๐ฟ
when I made the change to nasal breathe at night it was incredible, I was waking up like a cartoon character stg just BAM upright and alert in a millisecond.
if you find it difficult at first to keep your mouth closed get a lil roll of fabric based medical tape and rip off a little ~1x2cm piece and put it vertically across the front of your lips. you can still open your mouth and talk like this, it's just a little cue to keep it closed. I did that for a couple weeks and bam, now I don't have to do it at all.
and on days when your nose might be clogged you can practice this nose unclogging protocol before bed. additionally you can get those nasal strips that go over your nose to help crank it open. worst case scenario (I only do this when I'm sick) you can use a nasal spray to open your nose. but DONT do this for more than 10 days because your nose will become dependent on it and then when you quit it will be like a freeway at 5pm in dtla for the same amount of days you used it. always modify behaviors before taking d****!
remember, the more you use it the more it will open. I've been focusing on nasal breathing for a couple years now after reading James Nestors book Breathe and now my nose is wide open probably 95% of the time!
and if you find your nose is sore and dry at night now this means you gotta A) drink more water! and B) possibly invest in a humidifier

Yep I've been looking into this too! I've got some f***ed up chronic sinus issues so been scared to tape my mouth shut, but I guess tonight is the night.
