How yall run a mile or more and not get bored
I used to run a mile a day at a track near my house, and it was never like I couldnt do it. Its just so f***ing boring man. I cant stand something like that but i guess as long as I get it done it doesnt matter
I try to listen to a new album or take a new route every time I run so I always am doing something new, that’s something that’s helped me

running is a great time to clear your head and think about s***. nothing to distract you
you should have a slight forward lean at the ankles, relaxed but not loose upper body
this is a solid video

anybody who's just starting to run or getting back into it after a long time:
when you're doing easy running, you should only run as fast as you could maintain a conversation with someone while you're running (obviously having to stop and take a few breaths in between words would be fine)
a lot of people start out running too fast and then get injured because of it and just give up and think running sucks because they were doing it wrong. a lot of improvement comes from getting your aerobic base up as opposed to just smashing out intervals
It’s cool to run fast af towards the end ? Pushing yourself you know

Yeah there's nothing wrong with picking up at the end, just make sure you aren't doing it every single time if it starts to hurt/impact your future runs too much
I want to start adding running into my s*** again, how do you guys usually deal with knee and hip pain?
What kinda shoes y’all rockin
I usually run trails with these on cloud shoes, but I’ve had them for like 3 years (be hiking with them as well) , time to upgrade

i'm not a doctor but here are some common causes of knee/hip pain w/r/t running:
you're either wearing old/worn down shoes or shoes that aren't made for running
running too fast
bad running form
tight hips/legs, meaning you should try and do some dynamic stretches / warmups before running (just look up a running hip mobility exercises and you should be good)

I definitely got bad form lol but my knee pain and hips pain come from other stuff I do so it's not really going away I'm trying to see how you guys deal with it when running cause once it starts I always end up wanting to stop

imo the best advice then, without seeing a physical therapist, is try out the strength and mobility exercises for your hips/knees and see if that helps any of the pain you're experiencing, since you said that pain is being caused by other things
personally apart from when i first started out i haven't had any knee or hip pain caused by running in like.. 9 years?

i know a lot of people who run trails use HOKA's trail shoes for it. if the shoes you have work for you though then there's really no reason to change unless they just stop making them
for road running, adidas boston 7's are my favorite shoe. nike pegasus line is a pretty solid general shoe, kinda like the toyota corolla of running shoes

Overdosed on confidence
Started not to give a f*** and stopped fearing the consequence

Thank you
I didn’t fuel and hydrate properly during the day so I wasn’t confident going into the run but it worked out. Ate a handful of trail mix and there was a fountain at the park.
My legs and calves in particular are starting to get really sore. Need to foam roll the s*** out of them tonight if I wanna keep running daily

Word, running is so taxing on your body i would say at least take 1-2 rest days or if you not tryna do that just mix some lighter jog days in between your full pace runs to give yourself time to recover
Rest is so huge for performance you dont wanna skimp on that
