There are better ways to judge a candidate's standing in an entire state than looking out the window for political signs. There's new voter registration data, polling in small bellwether counties, etc.

Being that states are winner takes all, it doesn't matter so much if some of these rural counties are pro-Trump. What matters is if they're pro-Trump by 3:1, 5:1, 6:1, etc. The question isn't whether he'll perform in these strongholds but whether he does great or only relatively OK. It all adds up. Obviously, Biden is going to crush it in Philly and Scranton, but by how much?

I lived in western MD for most of my life to date and I do somewhat have a pulse on this area. The big variable is what white suburbanites do, especially white women. They carried Trump last time when many thought they would support Hillary. Polling suggests Trump is doing very poorly in this demographic specifically. It's why AZ is thought to flip.
