They’re in f***ing panic mode over that one poll

There’s gonna be a PA poll from an R leaning pollster tomorrow and I bet it’s gonna be tighter than the average and make em freak out too.

Lmaoooo people really are going crazy over this. My worry is that it's such a highly rated poll, but I really do have to imagine it's an outlier like that one that had Biden up 17 in wisconsin (?)

That was also an A+ poll

Idk a world in which he wins WI by 17 and loses Iowa by 7. Trump probably wins Iowa by 0.2-1.5

The thing is. If Trump were to win or even lose by a close margin, polls would be disregarded forever. People aren’t even trusting them this time around.

USC polls that had Trump actually winning nationally last election has Trump down consistently by 10-14 this whole election. I would be truly shocked if he pulled this off. The lead isn’t down to 2-4 like Hilary was.

Okay, so genuine question - based on early polling polling data, it looks like if trump was to win the election (again, that’s a big if) then it would have been near solely because of a rise in support from hispanic and black voters (namely hispanic) vs 2016. Generous estimates give a 30-45% hispanic polling for Trump (28% in 2016) and black voting for trump is expected to be at least double of what it was in 2016 (8% then for reference). Of course, polling is not always correct and on top of that this makes the assumption he did somehow win, whereas he clearly is not favored to statistically. Still, what do people think about this? If he wins because of minority voters what would that say about modern party policies and voter bases moving forward?

I can not wrap my head around an increase in latino support for trump while he cages latino children and does eugenics experiments on latino women at the border

idk if it's a paranoid fear of communism/socialism or attempt to be assimilated into american conservative culture but s*** just makes no sense to me

The hispanics which support trump usually are from Venezuela and Cuba

Mexicans and such usually more left learning

Don’t hispanics understand that both sides coin can be as damaging as each other

my guess is they lose texas as a whole but they win urban cities in texas more than they did in 2016. someone else in this thread had a point that a lot of people from the coasts moving into texas will effect voting, but only in the cities they're moving to (i.e. Austin) which are already disproportionately blue. the hispanic vote in texas is split enough that it doesn't necessarily wholly help them. PA is really a toss up state. Even if you drive through PA you'll see almost as many Biden signs in areas as you will Trump signs. It could genuinely go either way.

This just not true. I literally live in rural PA. There are FAR more Trump signs. At least 5:1.

it's not universal, but a lot of older hispanic people have extreme distaste for illegal immigrants and border migrants especially as they feel like they worked hard to be here themselves and others don't deserve "entitlements" they didn't get; not too dissimilar from the idea with old white conservative boomers not wanting to give what they see as a "free ride" to younger people. also a lot of older hispanics are just socially conservative.
and also, you know, separately, but things like racism aren't reserved for white people either (not that you said that, but just saying). legit some of the most right leaning people ive ever met in my life have been second generation hispanics

what part of PA you live in? I'm also in PA atm, i'm aware the area out near amish and the more rural farming areas are highly conservative obviously, but that whole stretch which borders NY, NJ, Delaware, and Maryland is really mixed, especially around Philly suburbs/outer Philly.

The Economist literally says Biden is going to win

So how does that make sense?

The quoted statistic from The Economist literally said nothing about Biden winning or losing

The statistic simply said that 41% of republicans prefer to vote on election day as opposed to voting early

This doesn't mean that Biden will win/lose this just means that a good portion of republicans haven't voted yet

I don't agree with it but can understand that perspective. ideally, immigrants should migrate legally in respect of the process and country they want to migrate to. that being said, once the immigration policy includes giving hysterectomies to pregnant women and separating children from their parents it looks more like eugenics and genocide than securing the border. and I'm not sure of the breakdown of the nationalities at the border camps but I doubt the trump administration is targeting Mexican families specifically, but rather anybody coming from central and south america (latinos), Cubans and Venezuelans included. I know a lot of countries in LatAm look down on others, but all the s*** going on at the border is a clear attack on Latinos, not Mexicans

Crazy times we’re living in. When I was a kid I ignorantly thought that I was living in a boring time and even more stupidly wished something would pop off. I had basically bought into what I’d later learn was Fukuyama’s dumb argument of “the end of history”. I had never dreamed of such a bizarre domestic situation we (the US) are in right now.

The result will be a net negative for the American people either way, but damn I hope Trump loses

I was watching the daily show and just seeing how mind controlled his supporters are. Theyre so damn dumb. The ones who show up at the rallies are the dumbest f***s ive ever seen, as in shoot them out of a cannon into the ocean because them being here is literally dragging down the human race.

They live in an alternate reality tbh

Can’t believe half the s*** they come up with
