looking to build my first pc. Went to a microcenter and asked one of the workers to recommend me parts, he put this list together https://pcpartpicker.com/list/VCNpNz
How are these? He told me to wait for the 9070xt tho
I put the RX 7800xt in the list
I would get a b850 instead of a b650, but that’s just me

9070xt will cost at least a couple hundred more than 7800xt but it trades blows with the 5070ti. If you’re down with spending more it’s worth it.
I have a 7800xt and it’s a pretty good card. I can run pretty much any game at 1440p over 100 FPS.
Also micro center usually has 7800x3d bundles and might have 9800x3d bundles in stock if you’re lucky. You get the CPU, Ram and MOBO for a pretty solid deal. I would pick up one of those instead of the CPU you got if your focus is gaming

i have a $1500-$2000 budget preferably less the better. The PC will mostly be used for gaming. Should i get the 7800x3d bundle ($599.99) or the 9800x3d ($699.99)
I also dont even have a 1440p monitor yet. I currently have a 1080p 120hz monitor, but will most likely upgrade to a 1440p in the future.

If you’re playing in 1080p-1440p then the 7800x3d is more than enough and the best value.
9800x3d is the best gaming CPU out there and 7800x3d is probably 2nd. I’d put that $100 saved to other components.
thinking about getting this? This good? I have a 1080p 120hz, will upgrade in the future. GPU not included yet since theres none in stock at the microcenter. Games i mostly play are comp shooters. Also want to run single player games at 60fps+. Total comes out to be $1,084.95
Tell me what i should do different or how to better this build for less.

what about this?

I’d recommend CL30 for DDR5 6000 sticks

They’re the same motherboard. It’s just marketing

Seems fine. Does the case come with fans? If not add 4 fans. 3 for intake and 1 for exhaust

That’s a crazy high end cpu, the most powerful gaming cpu on the market. I would only cop that one if you plan on pairing it with an equally high end gpu and monitor, like a 7900 xt but preferably higher if you can. You won’t get to fully use that processor if it’s held back by a midrange gpu.

Like $3000?
Like $3000?
yup $2900, eBay prices seem to be going down overall so there must be more supply finally
the real price is $2500, $2000 is only for the Nvidia card and a couple low end models that are never in stock lol
classic Nvidia move, I was ready to spend $2500 but caved at $2900
Finally got around to ordering a 9070xt. Went with the Sapphire Pulse since that's only one newegg has at a 'decent" price.
I said I wouldn't do it and yet.....
I dropped $4000 on a laptop to beat the tariffs...
Upgrading from a 3070 8GB(more like a 3060 TI) to a 5090 24GB(it's more like a 4080/5070)
Did it as a treat to myself to push me to complete the upcoming busy schedule I have
It'll be fun having a laptop that's more than twice as powerful as my last one but realistically I could already play every game fine, am I an empty trying to use a material purchase to make myself feel something?
