they couldve fixed them and settled the lawsuit in 2019
you dont have to defend nintendo
I’m just being realistic. You think a billion dollar company is not gonna try and avoid owning up to a mistake?
Come on
I’m a Nintendo fan boy but they’re clearly in the wrong. But that doesn’t mean they don’t admit fault. That would look bad
Except Apple got rid of their butterfly keyboards that they used for 5 years in the middle of a lawsuit over the keyboards
Nintendo is a different beast. You know how weird Nintendo is
Just saying, big companies often don’t wonna admit to wrong doing
For ppl who have played SS, is there anything about it you think it does better than BOTW? I'm probably gonna pick it up but I just restarted BOTW a few days ago, just hoping the jump isn't too jarring
BotW and SS are pretty much opposites in some noteworthy aspects if you just came off of playing BotW. BotW is open and free, SS is linear and only lets you explore closed off sections. SS also has a much bigger focus on story compared to BotW, so expect a lot of cutscenes and conversations. SS in general is probably the least successful 3D Zelda game, while BotW is the most successful. Check this video.

Dungeons, OST and story for me
Dont all 3 platform holders get the joysticks from the same company? Iirc all 3 suffer from drift although nintendo to a higher degree. Its disappointing that they never acknowledged drift as an issue tho, even before the lawsuits, s***ty thing to do. he hope remains that they will eventually better design these things and get better components, but at this point before the next gen switch im not expecting anything
After having Ringfit for months and never played it, I finally tried it this morning because I didn’t have time to hit the gym. Wow, its convenient to have something like this on the Switch. The story is ass but who cares, it got my blood pumping and felt satisfied just after 5 minutes of gameplay. This whole setup with hardware and software is so Nintendo.
Skyward sword hd reviews are out. 82 on metacritic based on 48 reviews as im typing

meanwhile the worse version has a 93 on metacritic
I wish critics were at least consistent

Tbh this remaster rating was mostly due to the lack of a significant visual upgrade and not adding new content. The reviews ive read stated that the experience was actually better than the original lol with all the qol improvements although still noting the issues the original had like bad pacing at times
looking forward to replaying skyward sword before i give botw another chance
What you didn’t like about BOTW initially?
Watched so much Skyward Sword footage and still I'm very 'meh' when it comes to the idea of replaying it again, even with all the QoL features.

I totally get if you’re not a huge fan of the game or don’t want to play it again. However, I wouldn’t underestimate the small changes they’ve made. You won’t really know the difference unless you play it for yourself. I think the small changes Nintendo made with MK8 to MK8D is a good example. While it was basically the same game, adding two items instead of one changed the gameplay tremendously for example.
when you unlock the new club sets and can curve your shot in such ridiculous ways
True, I have the star 2 clubs for daisy and it’s incredible
is Mario Golf active online? i have a $30 gift card so was thinking about using it to get the game physically so i can just trade it in if need be.
the lack of an online ranking system turns me off a bit, but i’m kinda itching for a new multiplayer experience
It’s not really possible to have a ranking system with a game like this
But yes online is active
Def a cop at $60
Do you use motion controls? I may get it at full price after the OLED model.
SSHD
SS Joycons
NMHlll
OLED Model
Dread
Already queued up for my pockets

I wasnt ready for the zelda gameplay loop to be shaken up so much. objectively a great game but I wanted another twilight princess.

I appreciate the changes for sure, and I might just impulse buy it if I get bored some day, but overall SS is probably my least favorite 3D Zelda game. I completed it back on the Wii and I liked the motion controls, dungeons and puzzles, but not to the point where I feel like I want to replay it again.

I feel ya it was my least favorite Zelda also, because of that SS didn’t stick with me so I don’t remember the game all that well. This probably why I’m so intrigued to play along with the improvements.
Take any chance you can get to pass on a 1st party on release date, they don’t happen often lol

Lol true. Friday is my last day at work before vacation so it wouldn't surprise me if I eventually budge and end up copping, but at the moment I feel no need to replay SS so it's not really a release I'm looking forward to personally. If I can skip it I'll skip it and save that money.
