they really gonna sell this model in October
then in less than 1 year they gonna sell a Pro 4K model?
no, they wont
it's over for anyone expecting Nintendo to utilize some power and catch up to the standard of gaming which is now 4K60
Nintendo has taken the L as far as hardware and is saying "just play our games as we sell them in 1080p" and yet they'll still outsell PlayStation and obviously Xbox

Yeah they seem to take a year off in between releases
2017: switch
2019: switch lite
2021: switch OLED
2023: switch pro
So only the screen is different
Does it look different
Couple of QOL changes, a slightly changed dock, new stand, Ethernet port

Tbh they have released revisions before in between a year or less of eachother. 3DS XL -> 2DS -> New 3DS (the latter being a way more powerful version) all released back to back to back. Not saying this will happen with the switch, at this point i kinda doubt it, but there is precedent
If they release a Metroid edition OLED switch I’ll be forced to cop
They release the same day so there's a chance maybe
Because they kept the name and just added oled as a parenthetical, I think there will be 3 oled models: Nintendo switch, Nintendo switch lite and switch pro
pricing might be
switch lite oled $249
switch oled $349
switch pro oled in the 400-500 range
-1080p handheld/1440p docked with upscaled 4K.
-OLED screen
-512GB storage space
-Improved JoyCons
-CPU/GPU that can support consistent 60FPS
I’d pay $400 for that.
tbh. f*** a ps5 right now. cant even find one. plus im waiting for their BIG BIG s***. i always buy sony consoles late anyways. it's a better value.
If those are your first two selling points before "and more", just don't drop the console
Feel like the reason this is confusing is because shortages delayed this release, they probably expected this to be out by now and the switch pro to come out in 2022, but everything is pushed back a year

dawg the DS is not a gaming console

I think a larger oled screen is a selling point to the casual audience, i feel like a lot will get this over the base model largely because of it

Im sorry but it indeed is one. Its a portable console. And i dont understand what this has to do with the topic?
Age of calamity will look really funny on that oled screen
