wait you need a school, work, or isp email to sign up for reset era?
what the hell is that about lol
a lot of insiders there keeps a certain air of professionalism
only nintendo fans would hate on this new switch this much and still talk about how they’re gonna get it
Its always like this
I dont think there's a person who predicted this outcome lol. Tuesday shadow drop, only upgrades being screen size, lan port, enhanced audio, and a 350$ price, this is like the most monkey's paw outcome ive ever seen
I think it’s more of you expect too much of them they will always disappoint. Always. It turns them on.

This OLED Model is pretty redundant to the point where it's hard to find a good reason why they would even make this thing when it doesn't improve the Switch's performance or add notable features to it. This feels more like a replacement for the original release model from 2017, a mid-gen refresh. They must have a performance/high fidelity-based model coming as well, otherwise this OLED model just doesn't make any sense on its own.
Some have suggested (months ago) that there's two models being developed, and many sources seem to have two different descriptions, making some of the reports go against each other at times - but that may be because there is indeed two different devices at play here.
I still believe that a power-based version will come eventually but I was hoping that model would be the one they would show, because this OLED model doesn't really add much to the table.
I would have paid $350 for a pro right out the gate.
-1080p handheld/1440p docked with upscaled 4K.
-OLED screen
-512GB storage space
-Improved JoyCons
-CPU/GPU that can support consistent 60FPS
I’d pay $400 for that.

i hope but it's also nintendo so..!
See i dont understand this tweet. How is the (OLED model) any different from the base model? It has a bigger screen and some other small things and thats it. Switch lite is way different than base switch, that's a different way to play. This (OLED model) is not

i think that this oled model will replace the current og model (as you and others have mentioned), and there will be a new “pro model” down the line in a year or so.
if this is true, they are using this OLED model to make it so the Pro model becomes more of a choice than a necessity
Lite
OLED
Pro
and i wouldn’t be surprised if they drop the OLED to $300 when the Pro comes out since the OG model will be phased out by then

I hope you're right. Need that before BOTW2

This is a good take brother.
Potentially this is transition similar to OG PS4 to PS4 Slim, with the PS4 Pro supporting 4K features.
Hopefully a Switch Pro follows suit and Nintendo will just continue to make OLED Switches and the Pro version moving forward.
The most optimistic take would be that this is the "3DS XL" of the switch family, with the switch pro being the "New 3DS" and coming either next year or in 2023, but as of now i dont think switch pro is happening
All criticism aside, the new Dock is hot
The whole system is sexy tbh, plus the larger screen looks better than the renders we had before this announcement
All criticism aside, the new Dock is hot
Too bad it don't do anything for people that play it docked than sit there collect dust and look pretty
So only the screen is different
Does it look different
