https://twitter.com/genki_jpn/status/2065234054287651003I think the reason behind it taking longer is not what people expect...
I don't think it has anything to do with graphically fidelity as DLSS is doing most of the heavy lifting now (I know you still need to produce a high res source material for it to up-res to)
I believe it has everything to do with that this new level of power in tech is giving Nintendo's devs much more room to be even more creative with gameplay and creating worlds that feel more alive.
Xenoblade Genesis is a perfect example, what we saw was just the opening hours of the game and we already see a more dense world + the creativity of it literally being a sphere . We don't even know what else is in store, Monolith always keep things simple in the opening hours and then hit you with some deep philosophical sc-ifi ish!
... Now think about the next mainline Zelda game... There is already talks about you have to solve puzzles through different dimensions that interact with each other... Similar to Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart but on steroids. THAT takes time... We already saw Nintendo experimenting with creative mechanics in Tears Of The Kingdom with all the abilities.
Exciting times ahead for us gamers and what it forces (or rather inspires) other developers to do.
Mario RPG got a parry
Claire Obscura who?
Edit: i legit been trying to be more open to turned based games so babies first rpg seemed like a good choice.
Did the golf/kart/party server get nuked or did I leave it? I don’t remember

Nintendo Ninjas made sure to break into your house and steal your Switch 1 copy of XB1 right when the Switch 2 edition just came out so you can drop $80 on it. Brilliant
