gta 6 confirmed
GTA 5 e&e probably
i get what you saying but the only reason the avg consumer has a 4K TV is bc they almost only sell them now
even with physical media (aka generally the most hardcore of collectors and image quality watchers) not many people want to buy 4K discs

Netflix 4K is ~25mbps but actual 4K discs are ~100mbps. Thats 1/4 the quality of actual 4K and is actually around 1080p. Nobody is even watching actual 4K content besides collectors and the 4K content avg consumers are watching isnt even 4K
I just dont think anyone wins if you move to 8K
real af for this
going from s***ty netflix 4k to full 4k remux is crazy
SMT V gonna hit different on a larger screen OLED
gta 6 confirmed
now that s*** is rumoured to be 2025 so hopefully switch pro in 2026 can run GTA 5 PS4 edition.

i mean switch should be able to run gta 5 atleast single player mode if we're being real
switch runs Witcher 3 as good as the ps3 / xbox 360 ran gta 5 tbh
Also genuinely surprised they went and redesigned aspects of the upgrade but NOT the shape of the dock... it scratches the screen so easily.
Yeah screen protector is a f***ing must for that exact reason.
I remember seeing people’s switched with two big ass scuff marks from the dock and instantly copped a tempered glass screen protector lol
it's honestly absurd how well capcom got it to run. i have no idea how they did it
They're wizards i swear, they're better at working on that hardware than some Nintendo devs

Only reason gta 5 aint on switch yet is cause of that damn online that alone would have to fit on like 3 cartridges lol

I feel lucky cause it never happened to me in 4 years and i never used a screen protector. Feel like those who never had joycon drift
The scariest thing is if metroid prime 4 is still a switch title how tf is it gonna run on this switch
regardless how u feel about nintendo, that console is a whopping 6 years old. That's basically an entire console life cycle. dropping a new version with just a different LED screen is so odd especially since everyone was expecting a pro

are you talking about the switch? it's only four years old

pretty much. i'd say that is literally the only reason too because gta v is a ps3/xbox 360 game.
s*** would probably lag so hard too with nintendo's basura online

ah ok thought it was 2015/16
very funny.
as somebody that plays 99% of the time through hdmi, this sucks
dudes really gonna have to keep skruggling through games like Xenoblade running at 10fps in handheld mode lol
so they announced the switch pro
LOOOOOOL
When they showed the new dock I still had an inkling of hope for 4k….
4k handheld was def not about to happen ctfu
Netflix does offer real 4K, the lower bitrate is because it's more compressed, say if you have a static shot of someone talking, their face will have full 4K detail, but they'll save data by reusing as much as they can from previous frames, so a blank wall will use the same data as it had done for the previous feames unless something changes, cutting corners there allows for the stuff that does move and change, like a human being, to be rendered with higher fidelity
With a Blu-Ray, the higher bitrate means there are less areas in which the footage is compressed like that, so that same blank wall may be shown in brand new frames every second, even though nothing has really changed
If Netflix were actually giving people 1080p due to compression when they said they'd be delivering 4K they'd be sued into oblivion, but if you watch a 4K Netflix movie and pause at most points you'll be able to see there's a legit amount of very high detail
I agree with a lot of what you are saying but a compressed 25mbps stream is pretty s*** compared to a 100mbps 4K disc. You cant compress down to 25% bitrate and not lose quality. Plus algorithms like you are talking about create artifacts that would not be present on discs
i hear lots of complaints about HBO Max 4K content and Apple TV is known to do up to 40-50mbps on their 4K streams with a noticeable quality increase from Netflix (from what ive heard).
s*** i just did an internet connection test and i have 500mbps download but i still see artifacts when watching 1080p netflix which is recommended 5mbps

Yeah more than anything nintendo themselves need this revision cause their games are getting too ambitious and big for that hardware. If xenoblade 2 ran that bad i cant imagine how the next is gonna run
Well this announcement caught me off guard. Looks clean I guess but gatdayum. No performance buffs and no Bluetooth headset support?
Then again, this might just be one out of two revisions. Perhaps they are planning to release a revision with a bit more power and features later on. Not betting on it but still.
