It’s nothing crazy but it’s a chill and fun game so far, tons of levels with secrets and collectibles and all that stuff if you’re a completionist like me it’s pretty sweet. If you’re not, could be boring.

makes sense. I’m a completionist if I love the gameplay loop, otherwise I just finish the main story usually and then I’m done with it—hard to predict since I’ve only played LM3 which I liked a lot

as an advance wars stan, i have finally found my way to wargroove. enjoying it so far, about 5 hours into WG1.

Alright LM2 is about 10x harder than LM3, when you die you don’t restart in the previous room, you restart the entire mission… I just lost like 30 mins of progress. And you can only get a hit a few times. Death is more brutal than elden ring somehow.

I finally beat the level, this s*** is brutal wtf I’m glad they toned down the difficulty in lm3 otherwise I never would’ve finished that game. I’m barely making it through this one. Thought this game would help me relax between Elden ring sessions but I think I’m gonna play elden ring to relax after THIS smh

Conversely, Carolyn Petit of GameSpot gave it a 6.5 out of 10, citing "difficulty spikes and a lack of checkpoints"

so needless to say you like the structure of LM3 more? the mission based thing is a part of why I’m worried about buying LM2

Yeah LM3 is more of a fun experience for the whole family, LM2 is a tough challenge for the hardcore audience. I enjoy both though, but damn is LM2 frustrating sometimes.

heard, I think I’m looking for a more casual experience like you sort of were, so I may pass for now tbh. if only the thing wasn’t full price, I wouldn’t have to weigh out all of this s*** smh

I think people were just scared the franchise was gonna stay in this different format permanently like how Paper Mario fans have been suffering for the last couple decades lol

Is it as good as LM1 and 3? Nah. But it’s absolutely great and worth trying it out again or for the first time

copped LM2 for $15, surely it’ll be worth that
