you can create a Japanese amazon account and buy eshop gift cards with a credit card. these cards can be used to buy games for your nintendo account after setting your country to japan

Hmmm, aside from what others have mentioned there's donkey kong tropical freeze, kirby and the forgotten Land, Mario 3d world + bowsers fury, luigi's mansion 3, splatoon 3 and SMT V (although id say just wait for vengeance which is coming to xbox too)

The switch is region-free so theres no problem. I think only DLC is region locked, but i may be wrong on that
