you want an ocarina of time remake to "fill" in the time of there being no new zelda. my whole stance has been that remaking OoT is pointless and i'd rather they just focus on making a new game in that time instead

That's a crazy thing to say I dont personally like OoT all that much but theres already a remake of it for the 3ds and the original version still holds up very well , there is no need for another remake

If anything they should remake the original Zelda game for the 40th anniversary if they really want to make a remake

They are focusing on making a new game, they’re big enough and have enough money to put a small team on this. The entire game is already made, no story or level design work needs to be done, it’s just artists building a copy of something. It’s not a resource hog.

My overall point is you’re an idiot if you weren’t anticipating this move, of course they’re gonna drop a remake or spin-off here and there for “filler”. Genuinely why do you care? Just don’t buy it if you don’t want it.

It doesn’t hold up very well please stop lying, every time you need to interact with a puzzle you have to pull up a menu and assign tools to one of 2 buttons, I don’t want to map controls every 5 seconds

Not to mention voice acting, which plenty of games even back in the 90s had, would obviously make the story more impactful, assuming the performances are good and I doubt they’re gonna f*** that up. Matt Mercer crushed as Ganon in totk.

3ds version wouldn’t port well which is why it needs another remake

I think it holds up well enough if you just take the time to engage with the game on its own terms and these things could be "fixed" with a port with some qol features

Voice acting is unnecessary and was still a controversial addition to Zelda not even 10 years ago

Besides the remake of OoT I would much rather see what they could do with the Oracle games and create an unique artstyle for those, similar to Awakening
