F and f# are objectively the best keys
F# Major is the greatest key to write pop music (see AG Cook).
blade bird is also written in f# major
it's rlly simple to write in because it uses all the black keys
What are the go to drum kits to buy now? I’m still messing with some BWB kits from like ‘17

Depends on your sound

I don’t buy drumkits
I just use stuff from r/drumkits or stuff I’ve pirated through discords / torrents / random links
But yeah really depends what you’re tryna produce I guess
Man my s*** is archaic at this point but I don't wanna upgrade and learn a new workflow
But its now at the point where I can't even dl new plug ins
Thinking about going out the box anyways and getting some bare bones hardware. I don't trust my computer s*** got thrashed by pirating

koala sampler is pretty awesome. ableton note is fun too.

404 learning curve is a bit steeper than the sample. Both are dope, def recommend the MPC tho

Hope you can cop! Haven’t gotten my hands on one yet, but they look mad fun
I would argue teenage engineering stuff is a bit overrated but anything that helps ideas come to life I can’t talk s*** about, unless it’s overly pretentious
Koala super under rated
Crazy how you can cop a cheap MPD and get the free MPC software and you basically got a new MPC

TE i find is the same story with everyone. They use for 3-6 months get bored of it and then they bin it.
i personally don't f*** with that company for the sound licensing bullshit they pulled with the medieval version of this one.
idk i'd go with a 404 or smth personally

it's really just about your preferred workflow - I hate producing in the box personally. but i'm also kinda farther along in this stuff it seems, so to each their own

Facts
I’ll get busy on anything and different workflows will inform a different result. I respect it all which is why I would never say any one machine or DAW is overrated
When i broke out the box my whole brain rewired

Hard for your sub to go much lower unless you have a well treated space with a good subwoofer

Around 40hz and lower is where my speakers start to give diminishing returns
