Not what me and bruises are saying

It makes more sense for you to say you want a separate label meaning “extremely neurodivergent”

I was just speaking candidly this what I’m taking about

Other than the fact that certain spectrums under the neurodivergent label are infinetly more disabiling and serious

    Like I have social anxiety

And people debate on if that should or shouldn't be considered neurodivergent

But even if it was decided that it is I would not like go out and buy the bumper sticker

because then that means people without low-functioning autism cant qualify for the label either

people either think high functioning autism is some sort of superpower or straight up 'ed'

then people arent “sick” unless they’re terminally ill then

No it just would stop them from being allowed to use the same label in their daily life

    Ok maybe I’m wrong

Autism something I’m pretty tapped into and if you’re in the spectrum for real you need quite a few symptoms of it. A spectrum isn’t something everybody is on, there’s a strict minimum amount of symptoms.

I personally would rather adhds than that any day. Not even close for me

    id rather autism than adhd

I feel like “sick” is the equivalent to neurodivergency here, not terminally ill.

because “sick” has a broader range to it.

If sick was a label commonly used socially by those with brain tumors or heart failure then it would be the same thing then I'm sure

Yeah the people with the cold shouldn't go around describing themselves as a sick person

Yes but people understand what sick is, how vast the range it

Neurodivergent as an identity minimizes how serious these issues are and others people who have them

if you have a cold you can’t say you’re sick?

this is not making sense to me anymore, lol. neurodivergence essentially means your brain does not function as a brain normally does. if you’re sick, your body is not functioning as it normally does. regardless of the severity of disfunction.

saying you want a label meaning extreme neurodivergency is what’s gonna satisfy you here because you want something that specifies extreme severity.

If sick was used the same way socially as neurodivergent is used then no they should not describe themselves as a person that way
