if you have a cold you can’t say you’re sick?

this is not making sense to me anymore, lol. neurodivergence essentially means your brain does not function as a brain normally does. if you’re sick, your body is not functioning as it normally does. regardless of the severity of disfunction.

saying you want a label meaning extreme neurodivergency is what’s gonna satisfy you here because you want something that specifies extreme severity.

ya I agree, thats all im saying. people lump relatively minor mental health issues like adhd in with severe dependant autism (which is half of autism cases), or OCD, or psychosis, or other insane mental health issues and its like…
these are not the same thing.

feel the same way about a lot of anxiety disorders people have too. or seasonal depressive disorder or whatever.

obviously things can be severe, im just speaking in generalities

I get your point but I don’t think your issue should be with neurodivergency being a broad spectrum of disfunction. You want something that differentiates people with baseline ADHD and severe low-functioning autism.
