what areas of IT are you insinuating will be obsolete in the next few years and be replaced with AI in its current form?
Anything help desk related is 100% done.

You over estimating what AI can do and over estimating how tech savvy the average employee is.
Helpdesk roles are going to be around for a long time. AI ain't going to replace Janice's keyboard in accounting anytime soon.

AI gonna handle everything in the physical world?
IT industry in US is so blessed. Jealous of you guys. It's not hard at all to really level up.
Canada has the worst IT industry. Our economy is pretty trash in general.

I'm currently working on a blockchain project as a volunteer, I can maybe connect you with my manager if you want
Also Machine Learning/AI/ are moreso the future, so get your python skills up to date.
General IT work is getting outsourced for far less pay to India and AI will probably have that entire field obsolete within the next few years.
If you noticed, these IT roles also used to pay much higher
Hmm how much math is required in block chain?
Rather go with the least automation, coding/math required. I have friends that enjoy coding, so I get it
Most QA roles looking for automation, to snag a job again might have to stick with what's already built even though I hate coding

Absolutely! Ppl who think help desk jobs will be obsolete have never actually worked a help desk job. You literally have to tell these folks to power on their computer & hand hold them through every little step.
Simply saying “hit up the AI chat box,” would immediately have the customer asking where’s the chat box?
deadass

You can’t even say it’s boomers like it’ll weed itself out. There’s plenty of people our age who just don’t have the skill to do what seems the basic task for us.

Bro my little brother, God bless him, is exactly like that. It’s wild to me
How was it? After my degree i’m trying to cop it just cause.
Fair amount of questions were more in depth (like random edge cases beyond straightforward configuration/troubleshooting) than what I had studied but the majority were not bad
Labs were pretty simple imo but I had a good amount of practice in packet tracer
Took me 2 months doing a couple hrs 5-6 days a week using Jeremy's IT lab course, his anki flashcards were really useful
My work is offering an intermediate level certificate for Webb App Development. Wonder if it’s worth it to learn?

i think i've heard this before. why is it so bad over there? i can't see how climbing up the ladders with certs / experience would be any different

Most IT roles are done by immigrants(mainly from India) thus making it harder to get a role(even entry level ones) and the pay is way worse.
