What was your work experience before you got your current job?
cybersecurity associates degree -> undergrad & internship -> job offer in my final semester.
the internship was the sole reason i got hit up to come back full time post grad.
For anyone interested in taking the AZ-104, either purchase a Microsoft Azure labs package (Whizlabs is solid) , buy an Azure subscription or use exam dumps. Cause I’ve seen multiple people say that the study guides are damn near useless when it comes to the actual questions on the test. And I can absolutely vouch for that. Study guides and practice tests alone f***ed me over
Microsoft made that test for ppl that use Azure on the daily so absolutely look into one of those options. The questions were a f***in foreign language compared to the Microsoft Learn study guide

Goated Cloud Youtuber
Check her out if you want project ideas related to AZ-104. May be more beneficial than cramming for the test.

I could not imagine being in support for general IT stuff. Idk how one of my friends does it.
In the same vein, this s*** killed me man
Less so everyone else in IT, and more so the end users.

Well, what type of IT work do you want to do? Help desk, coding, or what?
If you want a help desk job, you can get that with ease after getting your A+ certification.
If you want coding, I would recommend SQL. It’s super easy & you make bank with it
You can make bank with a help desk job too, every company is always looking for an IT Support guy to guide technical illiterate folks through tasks
Strongly recommend volunteermatch for those that want some experience working with some great organizations.
I got Data Engineer/Cloud experience working for them. Also you're doing good for the world as well.
Overqualified QA, active in the market, applying has been tough compared to before. Ideally looking for a remote role. Diligent & efficient manual tester, experience with coding and automation, just rather focus on manual and not coding/automation
Debating on picking up a new skill
New skill:
AI
Cybersecurity
Machine Learning
Blockchain
I can expand on the current QA skillsets, especially automation but I dread it
Time is the factor as I'm juggling a solid music career by myself, should focus on real estate regardless but I need to prioritize a job/work first and foremost.

I’m going for cyber security but machine learning really interests but I’m not great at maths

I'm currently working on a blockchain project as a volunteer, I can maybe connect you with my manager if you want
Also Machine Learning/AI/ are moreso the future, so get your python skills up to date.
General IT work is getting outsourced for far less pay to India and AI will probably have that entire field obsolete within the next few years.
If you noticed, these IT roles also used to pay much higher

what areas of IT are you insinuating will be obsolete in the next few years and be replaced with AI in its current form?
