I’ve lost 50 pounds
Man am I proud of myself. Worked my ass off the last 13 months and for like 8 of those months, I felt like I was getting nowhere. But once I got over that hump, I’m always noticing now
My new goal has been losing 60 pounds
Can’t seem to gain any muscle
Been getting hella compliments from men and woman about how great I look but a couple saying I gotta gain muscle. Not sure why I’m gaining like zero muscle lol
Regardless, I am damn proud of myself for the weight loss
I’ve lost 60 pounds so far in 2022 but I just started a bulk this week. I realized I missed out on so many gains lifting at the gym and at my physically demanding job because I wasn’t getting enough calories and protein to build muscle. I’m so afraid of getting “fat” again though. It shouldn’t matter but I’m worried about people who noticed my weight loss seeing me mid-bulk and thinking “he’s already gaining it back?? 🤦♂️🫠”
Hell yeah bro that’s dope. Sounds cozy
Yeah think ima start at least with a few certs that count as units in the cfp soon. Gonna need that as a young buck in the industry
Young niggas making moves
yo im basically skinny fat, ive been in a cut for a while now, lost a lot of inches but the stubborn belly still not going away. My arms are small af tbh so I really want to start eating more
If i eat at tdee, with a 1g protein/body weight, can i still lose fat and gain muscle?

if you eat at TDEE you’d be eating at maintenance so with 1g of protein per pound of body weight and focusing on progressive overload in your lifts you could, it’d be a slow recomp so be patient but it’s possible. this video breaks it down

from my experience the LAST place fat leaves is the belly
its annoying as f***, for me it’s the last place I lose fat and the first place I gain it
do you track your lifts? on an app, journal, notes app etc? what you want to do is possible but you gotta be strict with tracking. say you’re benching 45 lbs, you should make sure you can get to 8, then 12, then 15 (or just try to add one rep every time you bench until you hit 15) then add 2.5 pounds and restart

I havent even been strictly tracking my macros, just try to hit 1500 cals with as much as protein as I can, so once i start eating at maintenance I will track cuz i dont wanna get fat again
Regarding the benching 45lbs and doing 8 > 12 > 15, is that for the first set and hitting 12-15 reps with ease?
Also, I thought about eating and training at tdee, cuz ppl say you get muscle and with more muscle, your metabolism gets faster and you lost fat more? Im literally just skinny fat (just lower belly left) and tired of cutting and wanna get stronger
What do u suggest? Continue the cut or try something new

so this is how I set up my progressive overload. I’m gonna use squats for my example
earlier this year i started from ground zero with squats to work on my form. I do 4 sets of squats, usually try to aim for 15 for the first two sets and 12 for the second two. Last two sets I always go a little heavier than the first but how heavy I go depends on the ease of the first two. when I started it went like this
135 lbs x 12
135 lbs x 12
140 x 10
140 x 10
everytime I squatted after that first time doing those 4 sets^ I would try to get 135 for 13 reps, if it was easy I’d push for 14, then 15 and so on. if it was too difficult and I felt myself failing I would stop.
if it was easy or if I got to 135 x 15 on the first two sets, the next time I squatted I’d push the weight up so it looked like this
140 lbs x 10
140 lbs x 10
145 lbs x 8
145 lbs x 8
and then keep trying to get one more rep or more weight in slowly. you can play around with rep ranges and what not but the general idea is that you’re trying to push yourself to either get a few more reps or one more rep, or a little more weight in each time, until it’s easy for you to do. then you move up

and ye that’s kind of the idea I suppose. the more muscle you have the more calories your body burns at rest
you can still cut and get stronger by the way, that’s what i’ve been doing for awhile, you just have to focus on progressive overload and make sure you’re eating hella protein to maintain and grow muscle, like 1.5g/pound of lean body mass, or like 1.1-1.2g per pound of body weight if it’s easier for you to calculate

Thanks gonna try this method, also u think pre-workouts r worth it? Or should I just get some caffeine pills?

I use pre workout and it does work but I stick to a scoop or scoop and a half to not over do it. I swear by total war pre workout,i’ve heard caffeine pills do work but i’ve never tried them. your gym might sell the little mini pre workout drinks, I know at least golds gym does. I would try one, drink it during your warm up and see if you like the feeling before you drop $50 on a tub

You cant really gain muscle while not reaching your calories. Youre basicially cutting so you'll lose fat AND muscle
Lol I need help. I'm 25 don't drink that often but my gut is bigger 3 times pinky ass. Skinny nigga with a big ole stomach🤦🏿♂️

Idk how long man, gotta be dam near 110-120 for this belly to go away
Figured I heavily track my protein/cals and eat at tdee to gain muscle, get a faster metabolism or something. Hate having skinny arms
