So I’ve been doing gym / eating healthy while still being able to have those cheat days / eat fast food (but I don’t overeat like I usually do)
And I’ve lost 8 pounds in the last 2 weeks
Highkey almost brought some tears to my eyes. I’ve always hated the way I look and the fact I’m seeing progress. Such a great feeling
Just gotta keep going and get that weight off!
Man I’ve been working out and tryna eat healthy and lose weight since June 2020 and I haven’t been able to get lower then 164 pounds when I hit that in August 2020….. whether cus s*** came up and I stopped going to gym or stress eating…..
I could never go lower then 164 and I’ve been struggling mentally the past week and man….. I just weighed myself and I’m at 162
Literally brought tears to my eyes man. Never been happy with the way I look and the fact I’m starting to see some results makes me happy man
I’ve def not where I want to be weight wise but I’m getting there and it’s so exciting
I was at 193 pounds in June and now I’m down 31 pounds
I’m tryna hit at least 150 and we getting closer 🥺🥺🥺🥺

Love to hear it
Keep going bro
what are some good foods/proteins to recover quicker to eat before going to bed?
Casein before bed always
Yogurt or cottage cheese
Best way to lose a belly?
Cardio
Play basketball, football
Boxfit classes are nice too, get fit and meet others with the same goal in mind
Jump rope
HIIT
Starting off with body weight exercises. I need to get my body acclimated before I pick up the barbell. Giving myself two months to get there
bro just go lift
literally just start
boys always remember
you will never be as big as the pump
but that's the best part
it keeps you going
there is no finish line

I’m on a diet rn. I feel like I’d be too weak to lift.
Was struggling for 295 for 5 about a week ago. Hadn't really been benching for like 2 months tho. I lost 10-15 pounds since peak weight of 230. I need to lock this down smh. I wanted 240. How do y'all stay motivated, I get into these lapses where I just get lazy and stop. I shot up to 400 bench pretty quickly, would like to hit 500 this year so I can hit 600 next year but I get so lazy lol

you just gotta do the work even when you don't feel like it

I always feel better after a workout so I try to remember that feeling. even on the worst days. alternatively I just give it a shot, if I still don't feel it 30 mins in I'll stop and try again tomorrow. but I approach it in week blocks, so for me mentally I try to do as much as I can earlier in the week
Are you counting calories
Not really
I tend to over eat / stress eat every night and I stopped doing that. Set meals and snacks
And if I do eat fast food / s***ty food, I eat less then I would normal do
Love to hear it

Thank you man. I appreciate it. It def feels good to be slowly appreciating how I look

This
I felt extra depressed af last week and did NOT wanna go to the gym but I forced myself to and I’m happy I forced myself to go
Felt so much better after. Felt sore af and got all that negative emotion out of me

How many days are you working out on average?
Also work is wearing me out which factors in

I try to aim for a minimum of 3 per week. Because I approach it weekly 3 of the any 7 days is good. Try to space it out but sometimes I’ll double up on back to back days because of work. I know it’s not ideal for recovery but because of my schedule I have to.
I’m going to be very busy now till June and will only hit gym 3 times Friday-Sunday, sometimes probably only 2 times
Doing shoulders on Friday and then chest on Sunday is not enough to recover between
Might snap some s***
Thinking maybe just do ppl instead?

But with ppl I don’t feel like it’s enough
Anytime I’ve done ppl, especially push day, by the end of the workout I feel like I have more in me and don’t feel like I’ve hit my muscles hard enough

it is enough imo
i know what feeling you're talking about
nowadays i go into the mindset of "making every rep count" and it's worked well for me
hyperfocused on really contracting the muscles with slow eccentrics + tapping into mind/muscle has worked well
idk how other people tap into mind/muscle but for me i literally imagine like an anamotical image of the muscle im training and just imagine blood pouring into it like an open dam
