The way I see it, the more active you are in a day, the more you get to enjoy the pump

My bench is higher than I thought.

Currently struggling to decide wether I should lean bulk or maingain. I‘m a skinny fat newbie and wanna get some results in 4 months insha'Allah but don‘t really know which option is better. I think I will start with maingaining and then later on when I become a lil lean I will switch to a lean bulk.

If u want the best physique with a lean look in the short term maingaining is the answer

You’re a newbie don’t even think about ‘maingaining’ or bulking anytime soon. If you’re skinny fat, you have excess body fat. Your goal is to drop the body fat so the best thing to do is to restrict your calories aka ‘cut’. Don’t do an aggressive cut like an advanced lifter would but literally just eat in a slight deficit(maybe 1-200 cals) and as a newbie you will still gain muscle easily while losing fat.

If you're brand new definitely cut, new lifters will gain muscle and lose fat.

    never been in better shape

I'm at that stage where I workout just to push myself and see what my body is capable of

the transformation been insane, the aesthetic gains have been nice ngl but that's just a bonus

the change in mindset and not being scared to do anything has seeped in to other aspects of life, feel fantastic

Both experience and knowledge. I spend a lotta time reading and watching videos about this s***. Newbies hyper-respond to the stimuli of training and especially if you incorporate progressive overload your body will grow even in a deficit easily. Especially if you already have some body fat.

I gained 16 lbs on the scale(167-185ish) in my first year while in a caloric deficit the whole time. So really I gained more than 16 lbs of contractile tissue since I also simultaneously lost fat. Granted I have some nutty muscle building genetics so those aren’t normal results but the principles apply to every newbie.
