Oh yeah I noticed that too. It's weird because compared to most people itt I feel like I'm still tiny. I have a nice frame but it's like "why are you staring at me when there are "better" shaped people"
I've also noticed at work when I'm im a conversation with people someone will always start moving the topic to about fitness
where do i start? any recommendations are welcome, looking to get toned and gain a little muscle not huge

you don't gotta worry about getting too huge
that takes MINIMUM 3 years and most people need more time to get huge -- might be faster if you on roids, but that's another story
so you can always shift your focus to strength (higher weight/low reps) instead of hypertrophy(lower weight/high reps) when you are at a stage you happy with -- hypertrophy work makes your muscles bigger, strength work maximizes the potential of your existing muscles
here's a reasonable workout program for novices: startingstrength.com/get-started/programs
there are other programs out there
honestly, as a beginner, the program you choose aint that important just as long as you stay consistent with it, you will see progress
5 3 1 doing wonders
Since October 1st I have added
20lbs to deadlift
20lbs to squat
10lbs to bench
10lbs to overhead press
10lbs to pendlay row
Hopefully I add 30lbs to my lower and 15lbs to my upper by march.
