Not really.
There’s like two or three laugh moments, but not anything big.
"Swiss?"
When Ellen said “you could never please me as he could” Thomas had to f***ing LOCk IN
One thing I like about the performances is that it’s like they all have slightly different acting styles. Makes the movie feel really dynamic.
lol I been nerding out about it all day with peeps ktt just dog s*** for discussion

willem dafoe brought some much needed humor lmao
I see.
Yeah. I don’t pretend to understand it fully. Lily Rose Depp is the glue that keeps it all together, she understood the assignment. I think some people have accused the performance of being too much but I think for the character it has to be a little performative and desperate and too much. The sense of repression, and battling with herself, and self-loathing was palpable. Just a great character.
Lily was great (and needed this comeback from Idol) but idk what in the hocus pocus these niggas was talking about
Just got out; goddamn what a film.
Soon as I saw the shot in the beginning with people walking w black umbrellas, I knew this was gonna be something special.
The entire build up to meeting orlok in his castle is probably one of the best examples of a claustrophobic menacing atmosphere creeping up around you.
Everyone killed it and acted their ass off but yea lily rose might’ve been head and shoulders above the rest

The way she was looking was
this is probably the most physically imposing orlock out of the adaptions I've seen of this. I bet directors have a blast directing the dinner scenes at the castle lol they're equally scary and funny to me
You hear every thumping footstep when he moves

also WTF was that voice. Bill prob went thru crazy levels of voice work. It almost felt nauseating (in a good way) when talked for more than 10 seconds
Surely this movie hates women that’s why they keep joking about it and saying they love it
MAJOR SPOILER SO ONLY RESPOND TO IT OR ANY POST INVOLVING IT IN SPOILER TAGS
While Nosferatu is dying he looks like Hoult or Houltish for a reason or am I tripping. Because there was a larger point about toxc masculinity on all sides of this movie. Continously not believing women victims til it cost them their lives. Yes her sexuality is on display but an basic view of "omg her o face" . Her o\*\*\*\*\* is part of what frees her. When she has hoult f\*\*\* her like that she wants to be ravaged. She doesnt want to be treated poorly nor is it like he is slapping her during the s\*\*\*in eithercase its intimate. TheI could be a good girl s\*\*\* isnt some p\*\*\* level s\*\*\*. She recongnizes that without her sexuality what do these men want from her. She does many other actions including having his kids yet he will leave her at a moments notice to smoke tobacco and drink with the boys
also there is no way you aren't connecting many of these things
I'd really love to hear you articulate how this movie is a "very very feminist story," could you please expand on that? What powerful message did you take away from this, that women can have carnal sexual desires and/or that sexual predators can have a lifelong influence? There was nothing profound or particularly interesting about the muddy themes.
It's hilarious to act like a film that uses a significant portion of its runtime lingering on Lily Rose-Depp making the O face while she softly moans like a modern p*** actress is in any way some kind of powerful feminist statement. It's just a dumb horror movie.
I'd also like to hear what thinking was required — Dafoe feeding the audience information is not an "epiphany moment," it's just hamfisted writing. I could've watched the first 45 minutes (the best part by far), fallen asleep like the guy you replied to, and woken up for the ending without being lost at all. Pretty easy to fill in the gaps.
You really think one of the most iconic stories of all time (with a dumb mustachioed twist — and don't you dare use the "but omg all royalty from that region and era looked like that" excuse every Eggers fanboy is spouting) requires some deep thinking to unpack?
You're criticizing mainstream flicks as if this is some artsy low-budget interpretation of the story. It's not. It's a mainstream horror movie, no better or worse than the dumb action movies you're deriding.
It was a 7/10 at best for me, but the reddit takes from #TrueCinemaHeads are really forcing down that rating
Unblocked solely because your post will become the worst aged post

Riding ? Yall often just too stupid to extract meaning unless it’s shot in your head like an assassin writing on bullets
Sorry the way you type confuses me a bit and I'm not always sure what you're saying
WOW ITS NEARLY LIKE I HAVE AUTISM
