I feel it was the opposite. The teenage romance stuff is what put people off of Korras character. ATLA had teenage romance but it had a balance of that childhood wonder especially earlier on.

I think going back to the childhood wonder of ATLA is a genuinely solid move.

People comment on it a lot but I always viewed it as the fire nation was basically holding the world in tech stasis for 100 years keeping all the good stuff to themselves and once Aang ended the war and Zuko took over the world kind of hit fast forward to catch up on all that missing time, along with Toph inventing metal bending

mike and brian creatively bankrupt

Early but just saw the seven havens trailer and woo boy

They turning this franchise into Despicable Me/Minions territory bro never thought I'd see the day.

Film more or less is the standard anime movie filler episode quest you’d get from like the Dragonball or Pokemon ones but I still enjoyed and loved the new art style

Avatar definitely deserved something more ambitious though for the first new on screen story for Aang in 20 years

Please bring back real voice actors. The voices took me out so many times in the movie. Sokka kinda sounded about right but the rest wow

I hope this doesn’t end up being trash

Trailer much better than the 1st, still iffy on the art style but it had some nice moments in this trailer

They do look a whole mess ngl

These niggas haven’t made a single good decision since 2008

NO
We need Toph to be voiced by a real blind person duhhh
Not the voice actress you grew up listening to 😡

Fam lol what's going on with the animation

Like that water bending was choppy asf

They couldn't find a better art style than this???

There’s some weak moments in the animation but they all seem to be in the trailers lol.

Definitely bad marketing.

We back,

As someone who thought Korra was mostly mid (with some high points and extreme low points), I enjoyed this a lot.

Has the charm of ATLA and the apocalypse makes for a very interesting world

S*** looks like a webtoon man

gonna sound nitpicky but i hate how they gave everyone anime triangle noses

story is pretty interesting so far but man this animation is tragic

Nisha as a character is more interesting than Pavi in my opinion.

But so far the 3 episodes are off to a good start. Can’t wait to see what happens next week
