Really liked the first 3 eps. Interesting world building, likeable characters, very solid

Just hypothetically thinking

second episode with the random flashback makes me think they were thrown forward in time without their memories

Really different vibe from what they’ve previously done thus far and I’m loving it particularly the score and general world building

okay so opinion after the first 3 eps.

• Gonna get the biggest one out the way now the animation. I actually don't think it looks that bad the backgrounds in particular look very nice but the flat animation with the INSANELY Bland designs just takes the show down a peg for me sadly. Everyone has the same exact anime nose, there's nothing unique about their clothes, the bending feels like it lacks weight sadly can't defend this especially after how good korra looked.

• Story is very interesting its pretty obvious that korra didn't actually destroy the world but im still interested in things like why/how the history of previous avatars are erased from the public, I love the white lotus being more prominent in the story, the twin avatars is interesting to || The humor is very kiddy (tbf book 1's humor in tla was like this to) but the characters so far are likeable enough. Im interested if || the fact that the city recruits child soldiers will be brought up later

• Music is F***ING PHENOMINAL Jeremy Zuckerman deserves some p**** for this soundtrack. The amount of atmosphere and emotions he brings with the music for this series never fails to impress me.

Very interested so far outside of the animation honestly just make the designs more visually interesting and i think ppl wouldn't complain as much

Questioning if I show just watch this or wait till the season finishes. Because I still need to do a TLA/Korra rewatch been like 7 years since the last

I’d refresh Korra to be safe it seems like some concepts introduced in that show might be important

Need a more mature avatar series wit kyoshi

The Kyoshi books are so good, would love if they adapted them

This premiered already? I had no idea episodes were out already? No mentions of it anywhere on social media, nothing good or bad. Crazy. How is it for those that have seen it???

i've had ppl b****ing on my tl about this for the whole week. Imo its very solid so far no reason to skip if you like TLA and/or Korra

bro the backgrounds for this show are gorgeous actually might be the best we've seen in the series
