yesacYour previous posts about Ye and his mental illness to me reads as a type of compassion for him which I am lacking but I understand, I think you have a unique perspective to everyone else on this site about Ye which I respect (maybe not so much going as far as beating him up but alas...), if I mention a pejorative "people" in the future don't think I'm referring to you
Ultimately my big problem is stan culture (of people that are big fans of Ye) and how people pick and choose to care about Ye's bigotry when it's convenient, but I think I've changed my mind a bit because his pre late 2010s bigotry wasn't as widely publicised so it's unfair of me to expect people to know he's been like this
I view the issue of Ye in the sphere of the specifically 2020s type of defeatist, ahistorical, anti-intellectual attitude towards art, where people discount and forget the past and today's emerging problems are worse than any other problems, I would have to write a whole essay to properly explain it so I won't

you make a fair point. One could (hypothetically) have compassion and love enough for someone enough to know they not gon really understand s*** without a nice sock in the noggin.
The pre late 2010s bigotry wasn't publicized because when you winning Grammies and supplying the industry (and "semi" better with your words) with hits upon hits upon hits upon hits, you have more money to keep s*** on the hush and press and folks on your good side.
Also we "normalized" a lot of s*** as fans pre-2010s if folks were to deep dive in lyrics we'd probably find a lot of red flags in the music. People were saying for decades bro was goon king watching p*** in the studios. That wasn't normal we just put it to the side.
