I wish Coodie captured this moment...

Originally, the “Day ‘N’ Nite” artist wanted to be a dog, according to Murakami’s 2018 interview with Complex. But West had a different vision. “Initially, it was the Kanye bear and Kid Cudi is a fox. Kid Cudi said, ‘My character is a dog.’ We were talking and making up the character for two hours, and I did the bear thing and dog thing,” the 58-year-old Tokyo-based artist explained at the time. “Kanye was quiet and then finally he saw the character and was like, ‘Cudi, you are the fox. You’re a fox. No dog. You’re a fox, OK?’ Kid Cudi said, ‘OK.’ So I had to change the character into a fox.”

Also, the calm moments in China, foregrounded by the knowledge that he would soon stop talking his meds, are very bittersweet.

He looked tired all the time too in the China footage

Also, he was being self conscious about his weight gain from taking the medication.

Extremely heartbreaking and heartwarming to see a friend from way back caring about him in 2017.

I want to know the real reason why Ye grew apart from Coodie. F*** all the popularity s***, it had to be something deeper that wasn't conveyed in this narrative/documentary.

The way he kept looking at Coodie post-2005 was telling something happened between them.

    its not that deep bro.

    Ye just came up

Coodie was still doing videos for a lot of big artists at the same time so their schedules just made them grew apart imo

  • This one was hard to watch

All i can hope is that the divorce is the beginning of a much happier and healthier chapter of his life

2018-2020 was a dark time man, glad that he seems to be doing much better the last year or so

Yeah, but a homie is still a homie. Regardless how much time you spent away with things.

Ye made a song called Real Friends, isn't Coodie supposed to be considered a Real Friend? He was there from the start too with Cons, Don C, etc. so why was he treated differently?

one thing I don’t get about the 2019/20 era is why was he so isolated from Kim and his family? like why did he just move to Wyoming without them
I know he said he wanted them there but if you were going through what he seemed to be at that time surely you’d just want to be home with your wife and kids, not on a ranch surrounded by yes men

Around July he said on twitter he was trying to get a divorce from her so it makes sense why he wanted to work on his own stuff away from her
