I’m sure the pacing is metaphorical bro

Often times for older folk big changes like this are fast and abrupt and they’re old and defenseless

trust me this movie is not that deep lol

I liked this movie. The part that really bugged me was when Roman spared Marla and her gf and went into business with her. Zero chance a mobster would let an offense on his mother go by unscathed

disagree. Reminded me of Jay Z and Nas s\*\*\*

Lmaooooooo the sarcasm in this post

Lol nah I'm on some real s***. I honestly thought that was a creative way to conclude the movie on the writers part but very smart on the characters' part

It's not like that nigga was ruthless. He really was just wondering why this person keeps f***ing with him. And then he saw firsthand like man this ain't no regular person

Lmao wasn’t ruthless? Bruh tried to kill her (failed) over all this and her girlfriend (failed)....he was ready to shoot his mans just for not asking enough questions about why his mother doesn’t live in the same home anymore I think if you substitute the actor for a more intimidating presence we would see him as ruthless.

Truthfully the Russian Mob arc as a whole was bad. Unfortunately I went into this thinking it was a more realistic story being told with this type of stuff older folks are subjected to. But then it ended up turning into a typical Netflix action flick.

Plus you gotta ask yourself if someone scammed your mother, stole her property and money and stuck her into a nursing home and had the staff treat her like s*** all cus “I just wanna win”......would you go into business with her? Probably not lol

Well I mean that just depends on how much you value the hundreds of millions you could make versus the effort of killing someone when your mother is already safe and no longer a target

There's honor among thieves. She was about to bow out for $10mil, and she hadn't done anything that couldn't be forgiven. Really even, the conflict wasn't the mob boss versus her, it was the mob boss versus her business. They tried to kill her because they couldn't stop her from holding the mom "hostage" through her business, not because they just wanted to kill her

@twitch and I feel you about the elderly thing. But I accepted soon in that the movie wasn't really about exploitation, but instead that was just the backdrop for the setting.

It did have elements of a good few things that the film brandished strongly--elderly exploitation, lesbianism, feminism... but honestly the way it came off is that they used all these elements to just show the main character's rebellious personality or that she was using these things as a crutch or excuse for why she's doing what she's doing. So I can also agree that the movie pulled you in enough different directions that you could feel like the story isn't really about any one particular thing. Reminds me of Grand Theft Auto in that way

Idk bro they killed the doctor for doing less lol....like I hear you but it seemed like a cheap Hollywood “twist” oh let’s team up now. Similar to how Hobbs from Fast and furious teams up with them even tho he killed Hans 🤦🏽‍♂️

Yeah bro see those things the elderly being preyed on, lesbianism should of all been developed. Yeah the elderly storyline was cheapened by the Russian Mon arc but even the couple’s relationship felt cheap. We didn’t get much from her partner, and she wasn’t just her lover she’s part the business too but they did a terrible job developing her character. She was strictly a device to push Pikes character further.

Movie was OK. Couple things annoyed me tho.

    1. We're never really shown any justification for the main character being such a b****. Outside of like a few lines outlining her philosophy, we don't know why she's like this. I really didn't give a f*** if she died.

    2. That blonde henchman nigga was annoying as F***

    3. The ending seemed kinda forced. I actually liked the idea tho its just that they made SO much happen in such little time.

    Dinklage carried this imo.
