Of course this b\*\*\*\* magically wakes up in time to save herself. And then magically makes it back home in time to save her GF right before the house exploded :pharrellsmh:
And of course the GF was laying on the ground unconscious with a pile of blood gushing out her head but all it took was Marla to rub her head and she’s all better now. No hospital needed.
God the third act is terrible. S*** turned into a typical Netflix secret agent flick. b\*\*\*\* really kidnapped this big bad mob boss like it was nothing :sasmh:
Yea this s*** was ok. High key let down besides the very ending
Damn this is disappointing to hear. Trailer looked sick. Guess imma wait it out a day or two to see what the general consensus is before I decide whether or not to watch it this weekend lol

Y’all might like it, my expectations was just too high going in lol
this was a ok watch
pike in gone girl is her peak
This is how you make an ok movie into a great movie:
Completely remove the whole Russian Mob arc s\*\*\*. The whole kidnapping each other s\*\*\* then turning around and making a billion dollar business together was cringe. By removing the Russian Mob arc you get space to flesh out the characters, give Marla some type of likeable qualities....why is she doing what she does other than "wanting to win"....At least in Uncut Gems Adam was scummy but the premise of him needing money was to pay back his brother in law. In this film the b\*\*\*\* is doing the absolute worse by scamming old folks all because she wants to. So yeah remove the Russian Mob and use that to flesh out character development for both females and then flesh out the actual process of scamming someone out their property instead of showing a quick montage in the first act just to rush into the Russian Mob Act.
Her dying in the end was great. It reminded me of The Town with how a small character you f\*\*\*ed over and forgot about came back in the end to get they revenge. But the meat of the movie should of been First Act: Character development and set up, and then meeting the old lady as the inciting incident. Second Act: The process of scamming her out her property and going through court cases to make it happen, which it eventually does by the Midpoint giving the illusion of a "False Victory" and then after that the realistic consequences that comes with it when they find out Marla is scamming. Third Act: Is her trying to get her redemption and right her wrongs until the finale of getting killed...it's too late.

I feel. I’ll lyk what I think if I see it. Our opinions are more or less the same most of the time with films lol

Definitely fam lemme know lol
I’ve never rooted against a character more. She don’t deserve Eiza fine ass smh
This was good and the women were fine. Glad they didn't get off scott free in the end
Idk how to do spoilers

You didn’t think Eiza González was underused? We didn’t know s*** about her besides her ability to heal herself from a massive head wound with blood gushing out
I’m sure the pacing is metaphorical bro
Often times for older folk big changes like this are fast and abrupt and they’re old and defenseless
My man doing the MOST to defend that scene

Her role didn't really call for her to do a whole lot imo. But similarly, I like how little man wasn't overdone as a villain. I liked the capacity he acted it and it seemed realistic in the Bubble the gave him. So I enjoy the space the characters were given to operate

My only thing is she plays her lover and partner and we really didn’t get much. Like even their relationship felt cheap. And I think it’s because they tried to do too much with this film. The whole Russian Mob arc IMO took up space that could of went towards fleshing out a True Interesting story of old folks being scammed. And it could of went towards character development. But instead we got a typical popcorn flick of “uh oh this lady actually related to bad guys and they coming to get u now”
This movie pissed me off
Facts. Why it piss you off @Dreezy
