Ghost OGdo you guys think artists just make it magically out of thin air or what?
it all takes hard work and dedication that takes years in most cases of creating and cultivating your little local fanbase and then you get lucky and find someone who is great at marketing or getting you out there like you need to reach more people and fans or does things to help you that you yourself didnt think of.
that is not planting, that is normal.

The reality is if you think this disqualifies them from being indie then most successful artists (of that caliber at least) you think are indie are not

theres a certain type of folk that loves finding connections in s*** that are not very much talked about or brought to the forefront too often. i understand its not everyones favorite subject but maybe someone on here finds it interesting

Nah I enjoy those conversations but this isn’t really nothing to trip out over. I never looked at them as this “organic movement”. Even with them being independent.

Meh, I think it's cool info either way (if the info is true). It's one thing to know artists don't spawn out of thin air, it's another to know who are the movers and shakers behind it all. That's literally always been a cool thing to know.
