Whether or not im okay with it doesn’t matter it can happen and you have a very smooth brain for thinking that “I’d be okay” with any kid being bullied into suicide just for acknowledging that that type of s*** can happen once we’re 10-15 years past “this” era and the kids that y’all projected yalls virtue signal debates on grow up to be their own people lol
Hope u get the likes tho for being “open minded” lol
You’re a part of the problem for WHY people feel it’s okay to bully people for going beyond the boundaries of what people consider social norms.
Once y’all get to that point cool but are you married nigga? You just said y’all off and on your damn self confused man 😂
Even if I was married I’m not gonna buy some s*** I don’t want to buy if it’s my money the f*** lol
It was a point where hardcore Christian parents I knew as a kid didn’t buy their kids Harry Potter books and rap CD’s; I’d overhear those convos in church
It’s the same s***
Yeah u right, we off and on again but it's like always long af and super emotional etc. Don't know how to explain it without being head ass.
I knew her well before the kid.
It's a whole complicated thing.
I get you but I don’t really agree with the equivalence of a toy gun and a dress.
Yea the a***ogy is a little over the top but it works to some degree. The kid probably only wants a gun to act like a cop or to act like its star wars or some s*** in the same way the kid would only want the dress to be like his favorite movie character. The parents however would see all of the other things associated with guns and wouldn't want there kid to associate those other things with fun or think that its a game. In the case of the dress, the parents would see the dress as being associated with transgendered/crossdressing and wouldn't want them to associate being transgendered with fun or think that it is a joke.

I’d love to hear you explain how
Because I said it’s possible? 😂😂😂😂

How is saying the kid can probably get bullied by people who aren't as "open minded" (which happens all the time) as you being a part of the problem.
Can't control other people's reactions lmao.
You did the right thing. Honestly, it simply isn’t your place to participate in that particular conversation given it isn’t your child and you shouldn’t be made to feel like you have to. It isn’t just clothes. Maybe to the kid it is but we can’t pretend that these decisions, no matter how minute, don’t have wide reaching implications for his personal life potentially going forward. If all that is worth it for her, so be it but that’s not your job.

these niggas are mouth breathers man 😂
Kids will always be kids no matter how many Twitter debates niggas have bout this type of s***
Is his blood father in his life?
No. That's also a difficult story.
Bottom line, he's a loser

This feels right.
Well I ain't dating a girl I've been seeing for almost 7 years, who has a son, to not one day make him my son
If I stop f***ing around and choose to marry her (which is my lifelong dream) I'm part of her family
You've been seeing her for almost 7 years and the stepkid is 4...

Dude hates transgenders because he doesn’t wanna buy a 4 year old a dress?
Damn niggas are becoming really f***ing stupid lol
This real talk to be honest. There’s a reality to this situation that most of us in this thread have honestly never experienced. So it’s a bit disingenuous for any of us to sit here and act like we know what the real right or wrong decision was. What I do know is every action has an equal and opposite reaction and if you can live with that, all power to you. But in no other time in human history more so than this one is it simply just clothes
Obviously a touchy topic but I just thought back to this scenario. He's 4.
We were at the mall shopping and he saw like a princess dress from his favorite movie frozen. I said I'd get him something.
She took him to the dressing room and they tried it on, I thought nothing of it. A little weird but he's just trying on clothes, I used to do that s*** for laughs too as a kid- they're just kids man.
She comes out "He said he thinks he lookes beautiful 🥺. You should get him this gift."
I said fuuuckkk no, not because it's weird, but because he's like WAY too young to be thinking about this s*** and I won't facilitate it. She got pissed at me and said I was being toxic but like I really don't see it that way. Wouldn't talk to me for a week almost.
I said she can get it if she wants but I'm not gonna put that in his head this early in his life and that I didn't think she should either.
Don't matter anyway cause we broke up a few months later (we're on again off again- boutta be on again 👀👀👀) and I think this is a major contributing factor.
Was I wrong? Did I play my cards right? How do you even approach this kinda s***
Nah I don’t blame you when he get older he gon have to deal with a lotta s*** he runnin around in dresses
You've been seeing her for almost 7 years and the stepkid is 4...
Yes
We on and off again which means there are periods where we aren't together
Do the math

She got pissed, said he was toxic and ignored dude for a week
She def thought more of it.. I'm also saying 'or so'. It could be anything that she thought. Not what i said.. Women work in mysterious ways. But i doubt it only bothered her that he didnt wanna buy the lil guy some clothes that much that she would ignore him that long lol
Unless shes a weirdo ofc

I see what you’re saying
You’re saying that was her opinion and not necessarily yours
My fault

that's a whole 9 months though of her being pregnant with another's man seed....
Fam she's not yours if she could go and have a baby and carry it to term after having known you for 2/3 years
I don't think she values you at all tbh
being around for 7 years means more to you than her imo
Is she still talking to the baby's father?
