Whether or not im okay with it doesn’t matter it can happen and you have a very smooth brain for thinking that “I’d be okay” with any kid being bullied into suicide just for acknowledging that that type of s*** can happen once we’re 10-15 years past “this” era and the kids that y’all projected yalls virtue signal debates on grow up to be their own people lol

You did the right thing. Honestly, it simply isn’t your place to participate in that particular conversation given it isn’t your child and you shouldn’t be made to feel like you have to. It isn’t just clothes. Maybe to the kid it is but we can’t pretend that these decisions, no matter how minute, don’t have wide reaching implications for his personal life potentially going forward. If all that is worth it for her, so be it but that’s not your job.

Obviously a touchy topic but I just thought back to this scenario. He's 4.

We were at the mall shopping and he saw like a princess dress from his favorite movie frozen. I said I'd get him something.

She took him to the dressing room and they tried it on, I thought nothing of it. A little weird but he's just trying on clothes, I used to do that s*** for laughs too as a kid- they're just kids man.

She comes out "He said he thinks he lookes beautiful 🥺. You should get him this gift."

I said fuuuckkk no, not because it's weird, but because he's like WAY too young to be thinking about this s*** and I won't facilitate it. She got pissed at me and said I was being toxic but like I really don't see it that way. Wouldn't talk to me for a week almost.

I said she can get it if she wants but I'm not gonna put that in his head this early in his life and that I didn't think she should either.

Don't matter anyway cause we broke up a few months later (we're on again off again- boutta be on again 👀👀👀) and I think this is a major contributing factor.

Was I wrong? Did I play my cards right? How do you even approach this kinda s***
