I wanted to love it, it kinda fell apart for me in the last act especially the closing scene. it said “one month later” but they already had the red carpet and finished the movie that quickly? and then she’s already on set for a different movie? or is she still filming the movie she walked the red carpet for

I think that whole red carpet thing was in her head. It was kind of the life she wanted, it’s clued in by how it mentions that her father was apprehended rather than killed during that interview. The one month later is her filming The Puritan II

CrimsonArkThe ending should have just been pure comedy given how far they were pushing the absurdity.
It was legitimately ridiculous how much it was bordering it but still seemed to actively refuse to completely tip over the edge; made the entire experience of the finale frustrating.
Like for real, I fully thought her dad at some point was gonna say something along the lines of, “Cut! Was that good? Should we go again? I don’t know, I wasn’t really feeling that one.” then cut to the cult boom mic operator shrugging his shoulders.
It felt like the movie was veering into THAT kind of territory by that point.
This is 100% a dark comedy
