I like the movie. Future cult classic. On first watch, I wouldn’t have given it above 7/10 though. Ti West did his thing though

Talk To Me made a24 nearly a hundred million on almost the exact same release date last year. I wonder if they’re going insano on the marketing because they want to capture another moment like that.

X did way better than Pearl and that only made 15 so this will definitely be a huge upgrade from that but I wonder how far it’ll go. Definitely more niche and definitely harder for people to jump in on movie 3 rather than Talk To Me which was pretty perfectly crafted for anyone who likes horror to go and watch

Full disclosure: I didn’t read the full description of the event in a fit of auslexia (autism and dyslexia), so I just thought they were showing Maxxxine early. I wasn’t disappointed; I got to the theater early and watched Inside Out 2 first since it was the cheap matinee day at my movie theater.

I think that was a good warm up to a X rewatch. I was high too so the comedy was even better. This is also a great movie to rewatch after seeing Pearl because you look at the old characters differently. The Maxxxine sneak peek after the credits was hard AF because it went immediately after so it felt like an epilogue to the ending of X.

I saw Pearl before I even saw X and I prefer Pearl tbh

I like Pearl but it was just so predictable to me. Plus it felt like Mia Goth just carrying s*** the whole time off performance when in X you had multiple characters who were entertaining to me.

This one looks less predictable and full of interesting characters so I think it might be as fun as X was.
