It just rubs me the wrong way how he lacks independence. I get he’s a young kid and the concept of having stark as a mentor for the beginning of his journey as a superhero is cool but the execution made him seem incompetent, he didn’t even design his first legitimate suit.
As silly & childish as Peter/spiderman can be he always finds a way to save the day + he’s incredibly intelligent & capable of doing his own thing.
Vulture was cool and toms performance was good but the iron man s*** irks me. I can see how people love it though. Tbh I’d take tasm 1 & 2 over it

This is fair. Definitely don’t have it over the first 2 Raimi movies or Spiderverses but it gives me the small scale high school Spider-Man adventure I like that Raimi didn’t spend too much time on and the Spiderverses went for a far more grand scale

Both of the TASM I just didn’t like at all. 2nd one is so hard to sit through besides the Gwen scene

Tom would still be stranded in a foreign country if Stark’s assistant didn’t come find and save him as well as coincidentally bring with him a Stark product that just creates anything imaginable.

Homecoming would be so much better without iron man .having daredevil be like a mentor to him starting at a street level . Then have him come into his own at the end of it and abandon the tech suit in favor of a better handmade suit not much would change either just have the boat scene be like a building collapsing n the defenders showing up n helping them have Matt yell at Peter for f***ing up n the other heros r like take it easy he’s a kid

Having the Defenders of all characters to be the thing that puts a battery in Peter’s back to get his s*** together instead of the guy that saved the Averagers twice at that point

Forgot he needs a c*** of a gf MJ to actually get him to save the day

Stark suits did more harm than good to Peter which was pointed out in the movies but yes he’s the reason why he ended up saving the day

Peter only talking to 4 different ppl for the majority of the movie and it didn’t dawn on him until his post blown up aunt has to give him the hint that maybe one of them is the bad guy. Such a smart fella
