Don't blame the nostalgia that has nothing to do with it, it's just that most people can see that Tom is the weakest one and his movies are mid. Just make good movies with a great character and there won't be no "nostalgia" issues. Hence why nobody has no problem with acknowledging Spiderverse films as some of the best ones.
