The amount of people that haven't done this but claim to be Spider-Man fans or Marvel fans is just embarrassing.
I read a ton of comics. I don’t have to see the first 3 to call myself a marvel or Spider-Man fan bozo.
You should be banned from seeing this until you see the Raimi films
Tobey fans are psycho
TOBEY SPIDER MAN FANS ARE A CULT AND ARE A MASS BULLY HYPOCRITICAL GROUP WHO FEEL SUPERIOR TO OTHER SPIDER FANS AND NEED TO BE PUT IN THEIR PLACE. END RANT.

Got dragged to it for a friends birthday
Just sharing my thoughts
These films are for made for kids so what does it matter
just got back and this was everything i wanted it to be. maybe the best and boldest thing the MCU has ever put out. a perfect comic book movie. genuinely not a single complaint from me
the villains are all done proper justice, it didn’t ruin their original movies’ conclusions as i feared it may. holland gives easily his best performance since he was cast as spidey. his emotional arc packs a punch like never before and it finally feels like he made the character his own. stylistically takes clear influence from the raimi + webb movies rather than john hughes this time around with some of the most daring action scenes and interesting cinematography i’ve ever seen in the MCU, which usually always falters in that category for me. some real pretty shots in this. even the humour doesn’t feel as grating as it often can in the lesser of marvels catalog.
my biggest concern for this movie is that it would feel like another run-of-the-mill marvel affair, but thankfully it was as ambitious and fun as it deserved to be. jon watts somehow managed to keep a million plates spinning without faltering once and seems to have finally found his own flair too. far less skeptical of him directing FF after this.
