If it’s any consolation, I thought Holland was great and it’s a shame that the rest of the film was so gimmicky, I’d support another outing for him as Spider-man because he’s really refined his acting. I just think the constant fan-service and entrenched self-referential nature of these films dilutes them

I promise you you’d most likely love 1 & 2 if you watched them, they’re as good as they’re hyped up to be and Tobey has an incredible balance between Peter and Spider-Man. Spider-Man 1 & 2 are some of the best movies ever made

mjpplusLike there was the whole thing about MJ finding out, then him trying to hide his identity the entire time he was in Europe by getting the black costume, the dialogue between him May and Happy about his identity before he asks if they’re dating, etc.
watching again now and they legit was foreshadowing it the whole time. My brain never connected it though at the time
