Funny how this describes exactly what your one good player is doing rn (mans cited family reasons
)
You just gon have to understand nobody is taking yall seriously in 2022 anymore (the achievement of hitting 50 millions followers on Instagram just isn't that much of a game changer I'm most afraid)
Even the history pull isn't working with these players

Your team is spiralling too brother, what use is pull when your team has to do everything in its power to just stay financially afloat? See you in the Europa knockouts next February
Let’s not forget the Messi disrespect. Guy literally showed up at training thinking he’s staying and after they waited to register him to ensure it worked, only to be released after he agreed to lower his wages. Shambles club I used to respect them but they treat every aging superstar s***ty. Dani Alves gone. Pique is being humiliated too after decade + of success. Xavi and Iniesta didn’t retire with them, busquets will get the same treatment. Like they might as well be the glazers, bunch of money pinching mismanaged politicians running their club posing as fans.
Okay spitting tbh with the Messi point. Wbk Laporta is a two faced lying piece of s*** whose entire electorial campaign revolved around renewing Messi's contract and then he failed to do that.

And what team do you support big man
It's sad as united fan to say this but until the glazers go its over for us. Off the back of the season we had we only have signed a kid left back whose never played anywhere near this level and a guy who had a cardic arrest last yr. Neither of which are expected to start. We cant even get players out of ajax it's genuinely pathetic.
Love how there are United fans who say to get Ronaldo out because he doesn’t want to be here and then they turn around and immediately drool over the possibility (very thin one) of De Jong coming who also doesn’t want to be here

We need De Jong more than we need Ronaldo the coming years tbh. Either way I’m done following these transfer saga’s, I’ll see who’s in the squad when we have a game.

Same
Stopped following when I saw Ajax wanted 70m for Antony. The possibility if another saga after De Jong made me switch off

By that logic why not want to get/keep both then because that need factor is a very slim difference when comparing our top scorer/leader to an unproven premier player whose 25 ( I do still think he would be elite in the prem mind you). Thats a good idea I was quietly enjoying my summer doing the same thing until I hear our own fans doing the glazers bidding of trying to get Ronaldo off the wage bill because we are not ambitious enough which will make us exactly that

I want Ronaldo to stay and he was our most important player last year, but refusing to train to force a transfer is just not done in my book no matter how important the player is.

Signed a very promising young left back for squad depth at a fantastic price. And an experienced midfielder on a free who's just had an impressive 6 months back in the most competitive league in the world.
Look likely to sign a talented centre back with a very unique skillset and one of the best midfielders in the world.
Rather amazing how we can phrase things one way or another eh.

There have not been any official reports of Ronaldo refusing to train as of yet though. Have you never cited family reasons for time off? Add to that the guy is facing a dilemma of what to do next with the bids coming in/ whether or not he’s going to be on the tour plane tomorrow (which doesn’t look likely)

Yeah hes right though when it comes to reality. Our transfer policy has been and will always be s*** under the glazers. There is no room for optimism when it comes to this. Also we have not made one signing that immediately impacts the first team yet which is worrying considering the players who already left/ are leaving

Disagree to an extent. Or well think that lacks some nuance.
Transfer policy has been s*** cause every manager has been trash at actually identifying correct players to bring in. They spend a bundle of money and don't know how to use em. Combined with having s*** coaching methods so everyone just regresses, gets despondent and wants out of the misery.
I definitely am feeling optimistic. And I do think Eriksen will be a starter.
Also I don't think it's really fair to say the Glazers truly have a transfer policy. Certainly not in the way other clubs owners do. Our managers have a lot of autonomy in that regard.

It’s July when every team is about to go on tour and we still haven’t got one first team player (this will drive players prices up mind you). We could have been planning our summer transfer policy since April the latest but it is apparent, like most summers, that we have no plan. This is not solely on the coaches but on Ed Woodward’s and whoever bankers mate is employed next who has a history of taking full credit of when they actually make a decent transfer yet blames it on the manager when there is failure. The glazers have no clue how to run a football club and if that’s not a problem for you then I don’t know what to say.

We’re slow but if we pull off malacia, Eriksen, an Ajax swoop on Martinez/Antony…and de jong, I’d give that a 9/10 summer. 1 point off for being slow. CR7 leaving could be blessing in disguise if there is a specific forward ten hag wants out there as a replacement.

I’ve heard if too many times but I hope your right. Take into account that most of these players are unproven and/or Dutch
However, Ronaldo leaving without a replacement is absolute shambles for us and will not only be an embarrassment to our ambitions as a club but will leave a huge gap on the most important area of the pitch. Don’t see how it could be over a 6/10 from that viewpoint. If Ronaldo goes to Chelsea we’ve become Arsenal 1/10

They clearly have had a plan - It's not like we're not aware that they're deep in negotiation for De Jong above all. Just cause it's July doesn't really matter when it comes to a player of that calibre. If, worst case scenario, it takes until deadline day then so be it.
The most important acquisition has already been made and that's Ten Hag. I never expected signings right out the gate. It takes time to get a handle on what this current squad is capable of. Certainly they're better than showed last season. The most important work is happening every day currently in training. Signings take time. Especially considering our position and budget. Target the right players and be patient - that's exactly what they're doing.
Sir Alex didn't really talk too much about there being "no value in the market" until the Glazer takeover

The most important thing is on the training pitch I just don’t think you realize a big reason why these players dont want to play for us De Jong/Ronaldo is they now see how s*** how our transfer policy is giving them no confidence In the club. In my mind these summer transfer sagas have always been overyhped nonsense as it has been shown time and time again it’s how it’s implanted on the field as Sir Alex would show time and time again. The problem is the reputation of the club is being effected.

Transfer prices worldwide inflated massively. That just happened to coincide with the Glazers tenure.

Reputation of the club has already been affected, for almost a decade now. A relatively slow start to the summer is pouring a drop of gasoline on that fire at best.

Have you not seen how our other optimistic summers went those last 10 years? Doing the same thing is classified as insanity.
