Dealing with Barca has to be the worst. Even Neymar to psg they contested forever and tried to stop the move iirc. Easiest to deal with nations: 1. England 2. Germany 3. France 4. Italy

dead last by far = Spain

Let’s not forget the Messi disrespect. Guy literally showed up at training thinking he’s staying and after they waited to register him to ensure it worked, only to be released after he agreed to lower his wages. Shambles club I used to respect them but they treat every aging superstar s***ty. Dani Alves gone. Pique is being humiliated too after decade + of success. Xavi and Iniesta didn’t retire with them, busquets will get the same treatment. Like they might as well be the glazers, bunch of money pinching mismanaged politicians running their club posing as fans.

I predict Chelsea will fall off this season btw. Don’t like sterling outside of peps system, and their defense will be leaky without rudiger and relying on grandpa Thiago Silva. + Cech & Marina leaving. City surely will not be as good it’s hard to sustain success after a record breaking season basically and deep CL run. Can see Spurs being sneaky title contenders I like their attack Richarlison/Kulu/Son
Kane and of course Conte is a serial winner. Prediction: 1. Liverpool 2. City 3. Spurs 4. United 5. Arsenal 6. Chelsea

So if we actually want De Jong we would also have to be paying the £17 mil Barca owes him, cus we all know they aren’t gonna pay that

This happens every time a billionaire comes in basically in any sport.

They make some dumb decisions, fire the personnel they don’t vibe with, and make their mark with their own vision.

I can see them bringing in Neymar, that going horrible after he plays 7 games total in 2022, tuchel is fired by January, and they miss out on CL.

I think Poch is the chelsea manager this time next year.

I rate Tuchel too highly to see this happen tbh, but on the other hand it already happened multiple times at Chelsea, w Ancelotti, Mourinho and Conte

Their summer window is going poor even with sterling coming in, I don’t love it. Somebody always gets fired from big 6 -> I like what Arsenal and spurs are up to, city and Liverpool will still be top and both pep/Klopp are unfireable basically.

I don’t think they will tbh, rules don’t really apply to these kind of clubs. Frenkie is a b**** to Barca so he won’t make any problems as long as he can play there.

Frenkie's transfer to Man UTD is suspended because of the player's own desire. The consenus among most reputable sources is that until this moment no agreement has been reached with the player himself and that his priority is to continue with Barca.

No need to try spin it as an issue of him wanting some royalties, as their payment has been scheduled according to his latest contract.

If UTD fans' narrative was accurate and that the player really only cares about the cumulative payments his FCB contract gives him, then it means he doesnt want to leave Barca before his contract expires because the club wouldn't give him anything ahead of schedule

Interesting how Coutinho on the other hand reduced his wages for Gerrard's sake

Logically, any player who agrees to a redistribution of his wages under a new contract will think about it carefully before accepting it. Because at any moment he can change clubs and thus the rescheduled payments he didn't get yet would be lost. (All of this FDJ agreed to with Barca in 2020)

De Jong wants to continue with Barca and UTD fans just gon have to understand that until this moment their club's project failed to attract or convince the player.

Even in our worst shape, every player in the world is still willing to twerk for us and refuse other more financially lucrative opportunities to join Barca (Lewandowski, Raphinha, Kessie, Christensen, Alonso, Azpilicueta to name a few)

Meanwhile United are chasing someone who doesnt even want anything to do with them.

A 34 year old striker and a Leeds winger who has only scored more than 10 league goals once his career (just to name a few)

Your club literally sold television rights to keep the lights on. Do you know how bleak it is for you, big man?

Barcelona are the living embodiment of pissing on your leg to keep yourself warm at night

Realistically yall still wouldnt have managed to pull said 34 year old striker and Leeds winger.

Just a Mickey Mouse club all around more concerned with hitting an Instagram followers threshhold than any serious football achievement lmfao.

What's the point of pull when a player from Leeds could send you into bankruptcy?

  • Will be extra funny when this time next year this thread is back to the same point: Barely securing a Europa League, being sure your tenth manager in ten years or idk what will get you back to your glory days and breaking the bank on a player who doesn't even want anything to do with yall.
