I'd go
He would've gone last season pretty sure he said the club wanted to sell him
That would've been fun to see lol
Wouldn't it have made more sense to spend £300M over 3–4 summers on 2–3 genuinely world-class players?
I genuinely believe a squad with an elite n9/n10, a world-class midfielder, and a bunch of average-to-good players would still be more competitive than what we currently have.
Having 2–3 genuine difference-makers would probably have made us far more competitive than spreading nearly £1B across a squad with very little world-class quality to show for it.
What’s the point if City and Liverpool spend more than £300m+ on 2-3 ‘world class’ players every sInglewood summer?

City and Liverpool are about 10 years ahead of us in terms of squad building, recruitment, and overall structure.
My point isn't that signing 2–3 world-class players would suddenly make us title contenders. It's that we'd be in a much stronger position to consistently compete for a top 5/6 finish.
You also give yourself a foundation to build around.
Look at Liv - they already had Firmino, added Mané, then Salah. Once they had an elite attacking core, they strengthened other areas with Van Dijk, Alisson and Fabinho etc

I see your point but you can’t compare the Klopp Liverpool rebuild of a decade ago to where the market and league is right now.
Liverpool fans love to take pride in the fact that they didn’t spend as much as City, United, and Chelsea to complete their rebuild, and while that’s true, it’s more true to say that they just didn’t have to. They weren’t signing (at the time) superduperstars, they were buying good, young, high potential players at reasonable prices that were able to anchor them down for years.
The problem is now, there isn’t really such a thing as “good, young, high potential players at reasonable prices” the difference in price between what one of those costs and what a bonafide superstar costs is almost negligible save for very few exceptions at the very tippy top of the sport.
In truth, it no longer really matters how good a team’s scouting is. Clubs know what they have, the last ~5 years of market inflation have told them they can get £80-100+ million, and that there’s always a club willing to pay.
Manchester United is not one of those clubs.
Need Indy to weigh in on this
It's f***ing over
A consistently high wage bill is normally a good indication of success - ineos have cut ours
This club is dead and need a reset
We are too heavily in debt to compete
Just send academy playa out there until the end of the decade and pay this s*** off
That LVG interview
Well I was team martinez....

Ratcliffe made boss calls
THIS IS RAT
Same again tomorrow
Squad selection reeks tbh
Bench one of Fernandes or Tielemans neither are playing well why do we have to shoehorn

This mention of no guaranteed starters is BS and this squad proves it
Round pegs and square holes for the sake of it
F***ing Fernandes on the right is it
Free Cunha
I’ve seen a lot of Leeds fans say that if Carrick had any sense he’d play him on the left, so yeah probably on the right.
Anything to accommodate the grenade launcher 👍

Yeah sky have amad on the left and Bruno on the right
Makes absolutely no sense
How is that not a yellow card?
Every challenge by them so far is to cause an injury

Think he’s realised Tielemans is too slow to be playing further back but still wants him and Bruno in the team, don’t think it’s entirely a bad idea.
