Mental ation
The amount of posts I’ve seen about Haramorim standing behind a 21 clock
Yeah mental supporting the manager and team isn't it
Let's see. I'd rather support and see us win at this stage.
I support the club bro
I don’t support a manager
Manager FC is just as cringe as player FC

Well.. obviously?
But how can you expect the club to perform when idiotic fans latch onto the next bandwagon? We need to stand and support the project - otherwise how can anyone succeed?
That's not manager FC or player FC, that's common sense no?
There seems to be a big attempt at a "gotcha" in this thread because I was so anti-ETH but that only came once it became categorical that he had been given enough to succeed and still wasn't going to be able to. I had my doubts earlier than most sure, but still wanted him to do well.
It seems like most ITT and online have made up their minds already - ignoring how we play and everything else because it's set in stone that the concept of wingbacks is scary and we should go back to a 4-2-3-1 because it worked so well before
Yes, last season was bad - but given the context, we were in freefall anyway. It'll take time to properly put in the structure we need but we've seen massive improvements this summer already. We're signing PL proven players and the sales aren't great but we aren't putting up with them.
This is a fundamental shift within the club (all areas) but I think fans just want now now now.. it's not reality. Also, doesn't mean it should be as bad as it has been - but maybe that is the reality.

Beyond the positive things the club has done, being so cynical and depressed about football doesn’t scratch an itch for me like it does for others
If I’m sitting around waiting for a disaster at the start of the season I wouldn’t bother watching

Yeah exactly - I think this is it. For me I'm really excited about what we could do. It feels like most would rather moan and groan and shut out any hope
Crazy to me how we’re still at 0 players sold
not to me
bunch of s***ters who contributed in our worst ever finish on high contracts, high wages, huge egos
expected it to play out like this tbh
Well.. obviously?

I would say the only gotcha attempts are yours. All anyone ever says is the fact of how s*** Ruben ball is and the results are even worse than playing style. Otherwise it’s basically same vibes as ETH. Everyone wants the manager to succeed obviously, think you’re always confused by that.

I mean that's just obviously not true - but continue to tell yourself that

What’s not true? Every time everyone wants a manager to succeed. Then the results or playing style or other things suck, and that is discussed. Then we laugh about that or somehow deny it (be2 with eth, and you with ruben). It’s annoying cause the arguments make no sense: the results and style of play are non debatable.

I think the style of play is absolutely debatable
Last season, which everyone is still hanging their hat on, the results were not good enough. No one is going to argue that.
But the style of play is absolutely not the issue. It was an issue of course, but it's not to the level being made out. There were a chunk of examples last season where we played comfortable wins, only to lose 3-0. The coaches/fans can't put it in the back of the net for them lol
Keeping teams in games because we couldn't hit a barn door, to then add two of the most prolific PL goal getters and the best U23 striker in the market? You can see why I'm extremely hopeful here
We still suffer from the wrong personnel - so at times it's absolutely a bit boring, struggling to break the lines - but I'm telling you, if we give this side time to click, Cunha/Mbuemo/Fernandes/Amad etc all learning patterns and movement, Sesko gets scoring, Licha breaking the lines - all of the 'this is defensive boring slop' talk will go out the window
There's been a few examples this pre-season in that PL Series thing where we've been absolutely rocking - but it won't be acknowledged because minds have been made up that this is going nowhere.. and that's my point really. It's all too negative, too critical and you can see why I'd come out of that thinking "yeah right do these lot want this to work"

I guess it is debatable cause I think what everyone watched was 500 passes at the back and amad or Bruno bailing the team out against relegation sides. I hope it’s better this year, but the whole it’s too critical / id again say it’s the opposite and we give Ruben a lot of space due to his cheerful vibe especially compared to ETH - which was just as boring on the pitch but produced better results.
Either way no debating he’s gonna get time to figure it out. 5th is my prediction somehow.

Ruben got space because of the wider context of the entire club. And that space is still owed. Obviously if this season were still struggling it'll be different questions and rightly so
Apparently it's why SJR is pushing the funds for Baleba to give us an even better shot at starting strong (which is how it should be anyway lol)
I agree with this. I don’t even think he had a good pre season and he looked better in the back end of last season.
I will say he seems like a very good header of the ball offensively and defensively. Which will be very useful.
70m in new sponsors, Collyer loan.. bring me Baleba
I heard the diarra guy they just signed af Sunderland is sick. I wish we could get the balebas before they’re 100M and overpriced like surely there’s at least a few next solid to excellent potential midfielders out there that could learn some s*** under Casemiro and Bruno before becoming regular starters.

Oh absolutely
I think they are going for established first then get the youth after for the most part
Heaven gives me hope they have a good eye on future talent
