This a throwback to Van Gaal tbh
We need a Moyes throwback of 1000 crosses. That's the only one left under Ole so far
I think I'm done with seeing Greenwood on the right. Just doesn't contribute enough. Amad needs to be given a chance. The whole team except Shaw and Maguire(at times) has been s*** for a while now
Top 4 is lava season 3
United need to careful now, it’s possible we could drop out completely in these next two months

nah everyone else is even more s***. we'll lock up top 4 by end of April
Cant tell you how excited I was when Ole got the job. One of my favourite players growing up. I remember playing Premier Manager 98 on my PS1 and would always swap him in before every game for Yorke or Cole.
But with a heavy heart, its time for a change. We're going nowhere. Same glaring mistakes month after month now. A shadow of what we should be.
I would get someone in now. Perfect time imo. Gives them time to get acclimated, less pressure than coming in at the start of next season with greater expectations. But still a bit of challenge in securing top 4.
I'd like to see us go for Ten Hag from Ajax. Although maybe someone that has seen more of their football knows something I dont. But the games I've seen he's always impressed me and looked a great tactician, man manager and just carries himself with that edge/confidence I want from a United manager.

@dutchye youre our resident Ajax fan right? You and couple others I think...thoughts on ten Haag?
I love the Ole cycle. Never bad enough to be sacked never good enough to reach that next level.

I am. I’m just not sure wether he’s fit for United at the moment. He’s not necessarily a brilliant tactician as in he can adjust to any opponent.
However he thinks from a clubs own power perspective. He likes to play attractive football, with a solid buildup and high pressing (5sec rule similar to Guardiola). And he needs time to build which is kinda a deal at United.
At Ajax he had 6 months of a season te build on his philosophy. The second season he won the league, the cup and reached UCL semi finals with Ajax. This year we’re doing alright with him and even though we don’t have the material always, he shows attractive football with results. He also trained Bayern youth during Guardiolas time, to keep in mind.
I’m sure he’s capable of the football aspect but he’s a Dutch guy with a funny accent and hasn’t trained bigger clubs than Ajax. Dealing with huge egos will be an issue and pressure from the club and fans. Don’t know how we would do in that manner.

Appreciate the insight. Your champions league run was some of the most impressive football I've watched.
There's ultimately no clear-cut, guaranteed to succeed option. Allegri, Zidane, Nagelsmann, etc all have their risks. And I think no matter who comes in the immediate demands will be the same - sign a CB, DM, RW, ST, RB. In terms of dealing with egos I think we're currently somewhat blessed to not have a major issue there. Whoever comes in will be inheriting a young team that has mostly players who genuinely love the club and want to improve and give their all.
Our attack is our strongest asset on our day, just we're currently not getting anywhere near enough our of them. I expect Ten Hag would immediately be able to inject more tempo and patterns of play. So long as that attractive football is there and that desire to win then I think our fans are forgiving.
Also trust him to carry on integrating our youth. There's a lot of really promising youngsters atm, which would be a shame to squander. Plus you gotta respect that resilience when you're managing a club that will always eventually lose its star players to bigger teams, yet you can keep level-headed and competing year after year.
Out of all the potential options, I have the most faith in him to be what we need long-term.

Saddest I’ve ever been in recent memory was Ajax losing that game to Spurs in last minute. Haven’t cared about any United games even close to that since fergie left.
I also actually have as many Ajax kits as I do United somehow too (most passed down to me from family).
But yeah I wouldn’t mind ten Haag or like some unknown manager not on radar. Bored of this stagnation under Ole and Woodward
Wow doesn’t feel like he’s created that many chances at all tbh

I definitely think there should be a coach who successfully integrates academy players. I’m curious how he would tackle the front line because he usually plays 433.
A CB is at the moment the most critical position to. We can argue about Maguire but there has to be at least one beast in defense who’s actually good at defending. Ten Hag for example had Blind and De Ligt during the UCL run. De Ligt as man chaser and Blind to provide for the buildup. I don’t think Maguires that level as Blind passing wise but he can be the one to build up. However he def needs a better partner to cover for his errors.
Personally I wouldnt know if a new trainer fixes all the mess. Woodward should be gone as well. Transfer policy has been a disaster too.

Woodward is gonna have a longer career at United than SAF

I agree with you except for Ten Hag. We can’t have someone like that represent our club. Mfer is barely understandable in his own language
