@ghosting
Just looked through the track listing it says Yachty had prod credits on two of the songs.
And just to be clear I’m not hating on Boat. I’m a day one fan of his but this album wasn’t really all that in my opinion.
Thats fair, I mean im not saying Lil Yachty is some sort of musical genius for it or even that you have to like it
Im just saying I dont think it should disqualify him from talking about hip hop especially when he's put out some good rap songs this year
No, he would seek to understand why music has been commodified towards violence, lust and consumerism, not getting off slick Uncle Tom comments like yours
Uncle Tom helped slaves escape, try actually reading the book dumb f***
again these are just assumptions
You can literally look at the credits no? He is only on two songs

Yeah I agree. He’s a vet in the game at this point. And even though I wasn’t the biggest fan of Let’s start here I think he’s just getting started. His late career run is gonna nuts
Also I love Yatchy and think he's incredibly talented
I thought that album was gonna be Strike, and Poland not extremely experimental. S*** was ass but a good soundboard of things to come
Lets Start here isn't even my fav Yachty sound for sure
But I would much rather a artist put out a focused album with some sort of semblance of a concept vs something like Pink Tape, even if it turns out bad
So I get where Yachty is coming from

I definitely agree with this, that's why even though I didn't like it that much I LOVED the attempt

Ya tbh I also wouldn't mind if he cooled it with this topic in interviews bc the point he wants to make is obviously not gonna get across

I like Uzi but yeah Yachty’s album is better than Pink Tape.
Pink Tape should’ve just been the rage/loud sound instead it’s a mess.

Would’ve rather had more songs on the vein of the end and werewolf

Really, initially I thought Werewolf was cool but I never go back to it.

Ya I mean there are definitely some great songs on Pink Tape but the album is for sure a mess
yachty cosplayed as a flint rapper for years and then started making tame impala and pink floyd cover songs.
yachty been jacking styles the last 5-6 years. stop it
!!!!!!
finally the truth has been spoken
real
I didn't even listen to Pink Tape, sorry Uzi but I already knew what it was
Glock in my purse still my anthem for when I'm outside
Yatchy had moments and showed me he could really ep an album outside of writing for himself and other artists. He's eclectic and I think genre benders are always the ones to win, so once he combines One Night, Poland, The Secret Recipe, and Let's Start Here I think he could jump most of his peers in popularity
Yatchy made himself a respectable career and distinctive sound
Uncle Tom helped slaves escape, try actually reading the book dumb f***
We all know what it means to use that phrase in this day and age, you egotistical f***

thats why im not mad at Yachty bc I forced myself to get some hype going for Pink Tape and it ended up suffering from the same issues as Uzi's past albums
On the other hand it will be exciting to see where Yachty takes his next album...

Nah you clearly don’t know what it means you just regurgitating what you heard someone else say. The term you meant to use is “sambo”. Try reading champ, it’s fundamental

How’s that basic? Lol. It’s one of their most polarizing albums, no?
It’s probably their second most popular album with wish you were here being the third probably

Crazy cause his current sound derived from michicgan nothing wrong with imitation it’s literally human in nature and is always always the starting point for originality

Thank you for educating me, I appreciate that. It still doesn’t take away from how you chose to refer to your own people and the art they have chosen to make to work through their past traumas
i don't give a f*** what y'all say about that album... this song & video is amazing
!https://youtu.be/igFtut_1drQ?si=cdtdIcbfduSXlpnOalbum is amazing. when artist says stupid s*** its easy to discredit other s*** and have all the people that hated it from the onset do they victory lap
