thought the song was quite beautiful until the very end man I canāt wrap my head around that last bit
but only if you let a white girl say
kendrick allowed us to say the n word on his new album!!!! he really is a white savior!
He had writers block and said āfuck it Iāll try DAMN again
You heard some drums and 808s and thought this was Damn 2.0? Lmao
N95 reminds me of Graduation a bit lol idk
Big disagree, thereās multiple tracks where Iām like āitās DAMN flow/voiceā
Relisten to DAMN then
Keem interlude so damn good.

kendrick allowed us to say the n word on his new album!!!! he really is a white savior!

I kinda like this little thread

I took it as him calling people out to look at themselves beyond the materialistic s*** and setting the tone to look at the negative, but real, s*** taking place in the world.
ah yeah that makes sense. N95 being a reference to face masks, you could also read the title as a metaphor for fake charaters (like an invitation to take your mask off, and start looking into your real self)
ngl some of my first thoughts when I heard this album was you think Kendrick is saying because of generational trauma in the black community we developed a buttload of insecurities and victim complex and because of that we look to entertainers as our heroes to save us. Just cause we're too weak to save ourselves mentally.
idk might just be spewing nonsense
This gonna end up very high on his discography list.
I didnāt think he could get more personal than GKMC but here we are.
I still am conflicted on where it stands in my ranking, granted its the first day and ive only listened three times, plus it being this weird and polarizing, its gonna take a while to fully process this s***. Im happy he didnt go the safe route, it was the only thing ive wanted and even if they aint all hits for now, i respect him a lot for it
Pissed I cant give Savior the whip test cause my USB port broke in the whip
