Iām not saying he was wrong for saying the f slur in the song. Iām personally okay with it. But I do believe context matters. Iām trying to get you to acknowledge that thereās a contradiction in the song. Which is ok. You can still love a piece of art even tho thereās a contradiction. Or, the other option is you come to the view that Kendrick should have let the girl say the n word at his show. Iām trying to pin you between a rock and a hard place.

MrIndigo96ngl some of my first thoughts when I heard this album was you think Kendrick is saying because of generational trauma in the black community we developed a buttload of insecurities and victim complex and because of that we look to entertainers as our heroes to save us. Just cause we're too weak to save ourselves mentally.

StardustI still am conflicted on where it stands in my ranking, granted its the first day and ive only listened three times, plus it being this weird and polarizing, its gonna take a while to fully process this s***. Im happy he didnt go the safe route, it was the only thing ive wanted and even if they aint all hits for now, i respect him a lot for it
I canāt rank it yet. I havenāt listened enough. Took me a month to really love TPAB. And even longer to love DAMN. I gotta continue to live with it.
