Kill Bill Vol 1. and 2.
Very good and fun to watch tbh but the first part of Vol.2 felt slow compared to the action in Vol 1.
8.8/10? (idk how to rate how i feel exactly).

Ford v Ferrari
that s*** was TRASH holy s***, 02:30 hours
this f***ing s*** think im ed? mfs told me the man needed to pass the guy 2 laps at least 4 times
Nice reply!! See now when you say it like that I can respect it, however, I don’t agree that constant yelling = tension
There were moments that weren’t given enough time to let the seriousness of the situation settle in and there were moments that I felt like should’ve had more weight to it
I don’t hate you for liking the movie or anyone else, but after watching it I literally see no in between, it’s either people loved it or f***ing hated it
I simply can’t believe that people out here are giving it a perfect rating or near perfect rating when I honestly thought it was pretty bad
Different strokes for different boats I guess, but I can’t seem to give the movie credit for anything other than its production quality (camera work mainly) and Sandler’s somewhat decent acting
That’s another thing too, the acting, TheWeeknd was stiff and corny which is somewhat to be expected since it’s his film debut, but I didn’t really like how they hyped him up so much to just literally have a couple (probably not even 5 minutes) of screen time, that and his acting was stiff and corny
Even Adam Sandler, he really didn’t display any wide variety emotions, and when he tried he fell REALLY FELL FLAT, I felt uncomfortable watching him cry, because it felt so fake
I respect your opinion, but I just don’t get the reviews saying this movie was perfect or the best film of the year
LOL my man you're clearly trying to force criticism.
In the same sentence, you tell me that the weeknd's acting is stiff and corny and that he only got 5 minutes of screen time.
man did a 1-minute performance, said 3 lines and got into a short fight, there's not much he could've done to convince you he's a seasoned actor in that script.
Also, yes, constant yelling does not equate to tension however, what does is the high stakes situation howie was in as the deeper his grave got by placing surreal bets.
what comes with that is the high energy the film has (volume, fast pacing, editing, music)
also saying sandler fell flat? uhhh what
i'm not trying to convince you to like this movie but i'm just trying to understand how one can make these points without thinking them over.
I was gonna make a thread for jay and silent bob reboot but i cancelled half way thru cause it was that bad
been watching norse horror movies
and realizing how f***ing stupid larping pagans are
that maypole s*** is so cringe
which movies specifically?
A Beautiful Mind. 5/5
belongs in the boring whitebread bin with s*** like Forrest Gump, Shawshank, Into The Wild, etc.
But it's Ron Howard so duh, was obvious frm the start

I'm not exactly forcing you to watch better films am I
this is a discussion board. go write your insightful 5/5 ratings posts in a word document if this bothered you
Paterson immediately strikes me as an anti-Llewyn Davis. It’s ultimately hopeful in its depiction of the artistic pursuit as a struggle

Agreed but I have a more positive memory of Shawshank compared to the others

Once Upon a Time in America (1984)
The runtime is the reason why I put this off for so long but goddamn I'm so glad I got to it, what a masterpiece
Claude Chabrol's La Ceremonie (1995) is phenomenal. Very Haneke-like, but with much more complex, and even likable human personalities. Isabelle Huppert is amazing in it (as always) as is Sandrine Bonnaire who I haven't seen before, but her style in this reminds me of shades of Huppert in Piano Teacher+Elle
