That scene when the rich kids step in the metro in Warriors has to be one the best examples ever of visual story telling oat

Funny People. I'm not saying anything new here but this could have been a superb comedy if not for the overly long third act. The first 90 minutes is great, then you realize you still have another 50 minutes when he gets to his ex-girlfriend's house.

Now I don't mind Judd using his family because I actually like them, so my beef isn't with him casting them but rather his editing goes to s*** once they enter the movie. The main story beats are all fine - I like how he gets back with her and it seems good but then he quickly gets sick of the kids and you realize he's still an a******, and she reconciles with the husband who is in fact a better man than sandler. the story is solid, even in this closing act. but man judd needs someone to smack him around in the editing room and tighten up this sequence of events.

still a good movie tho, just not as good as it should be. it could be a 9.

    score: 7.5/10

I’ve been on a historical epic binge lately and let me tell you:
Ten Commandments, Ben Hur, Spartacus and Quo Vadis are PEAK cinema

They really don’t make movies like this anymore

Closest thing nowadays is The Northman imo

Prisoners of the Ghostland - 6/10

I dunno if this movie was really bad to the point it was dumb fun or so good I went out of my way to look for flaws.

Either way there were calculated moves in this movie plus it had a mad max meets john carpenter style I totally liked.

would not watch again sober but I enjoyed it.

50 just said like 4 lines in this film. It really felt like he was there just to be there. S***ty film nonetheless.
