one thing about my music listening is that if i really love an album ill listen to it a s*** ton for like 6 months to a year MAX and then move on. it was hard to rank albums that i loved back in the day but havent really listened to in forever, like money store, james blake s/t etc. i maybe underrated some more recent albums to compensate, specifically the gecs lol
I remember p4k bnm'd 9+ that album from 2013 or something and now nobody talks about them
not even p4k
yea, they overrated the s*** out of Shields. Kinda sad that the band turned blander with every album after Yellow House.
I never listened to them but I think the album Days got a couple votes here

Looked them up and just found out they released an album in 2017
had no f***ing idea
Real Estate too
Man P4K hyped the whitest, blandest s*** back then
I remember they loved the Haim band too

they were at least sincere about being a pop band then and the album was imo a little stronger than Shields iirc.

Hey that Haim debut got some solid bangers on it tho
Speaking of pop bangers, @Galaxy did Cupid Deluxe rank anywhere? Dont remember seeing it but I know i voted
I actually think the record labels mishandling of the album gave it an “outsider” status that almost immediately gifted the album with a cult following. I remember when that album came out, people were talking more about Interscope than the songs.
thank you. Relistening to it now.
P4k had plenty of misses this decade tbh.

hey they hyped Acid Mothers Temple, Cat Power, Joanna Newsom, early AnCo (okay only Spirit but that's their best), Wilco, early Arcade Fire and others I'm forgetting.
but yeah Lateralus, Frances The Mute and The Fragile would like to have a word.
@RASIE you and @Very_Based voted for Cupid Deluxe. It was at least 1 vote higher than 41st from making the list

Frances the Mute one of the worst pieces of music journalism to exist

They also did complete 180s on Pinkerton and Dear You iirc.
