I know it's against child spanking which is what I said lol. It's a study against child spanking that acknowledges the limitation in their conclusion

Just because a study has limitations doesn't mean the studies are irrelevant.

The overwhelming majority of psychological research cannot measure causal conclusions because it's unethical to give people abuse, mental disorders, traumatize them, etc.

I'm telling you bro. There is overwhelming academic consensus that spanking is not supported and is associated with bad outcomes

dozens of peer reviewed journals and f***ing common sense - hey don't hit kids
people with mental health issues - I'm gonna beat my kids and I hope you do too!

If you can’t beat them, join them

No, they won’t. They’ll have a relationship of love and trust because your job when you are a parent is to protect them and help them become an adult not control and abuse them. It’s very simple, very clear, well studied.

There is no perfect foolproof way to raise a child

    Everyone is different

Readin this one article and this part made me laugh cuz someoen said something like this a couple pages ago

“A child doesn’t get spanked and then run out and rob a store,” she says. “There are indirect changes in how the child thinks about things and feels about things.”

Okay, it’s clear that you aren’t coming from a place of good faith in this argument at all.

He brought up his own kids, provided a hypothetical future example where he’d hit them, and I’m supposed to say “hey that s***s normal?”

F*** off, I’ll call out abusers and abusive behavior any time I see it.

great, so you admit that this s*** wasn't about educating or teaching or having a good faith conversation with bro at all in the first place, you just wanted to call out people

    Read that again.

What she’s saying is the effect isn’t immediate, not that it’s not there.

Yes, I want to call out someone who is glorifying abuse.

Absolutely nothing wrong with that, and it was done in good faith!

I never said that its irrelevant, I said that's its pretty heavily debated and the limitation i quoted is the reason why.

Yeah, which is point that using studies as some were doing itt to point the conclusion that any form of spanking = child abuse is invalid
