ok, harlow is doing really poorly on AM, even if you remove every future and bad bunny song he would only have 2 tracks in the top 10
Never thought Bad Bunny would be doing so good on AM this time, he really got a lot bigger
A lot. He's by far the most streamed artist in Apple Music history.
I was expecting a number. Kinda weird to gauge popularity based on a racist revenue based chart (IFPI) and undisclosed numbers. Especially since the biggest streaming service has its numbers available.
Bad bunny one of the biggest Latin artists in history and even non Latin people like him
Jack doesn’t stand a chance lol
dude has a trap album, a reggaeton album, an album with a lot of rock influences. pretty diverse
latin trap and reggaeton are the core tho
That sounds interesting

How is the IFPI racist?
You don't even need to know Spanish lmao.
If the music sounds good, then what's the deal?
I can't get into it fully if I can't understand any lyrics

Jacks fanbase seems more Spotify based
Bad Bunny is gonna outdo him there too.
If Bad Bunny outsells Jack Harlow it’s gonna make those forecast people look so out of touch.
How is the IFPI racist?
Because their 'global' methodology entails converting music revenue (which is already adjusted for pre sale) to U.S $ value effectively making 1 stream from a poorer country worth a fraction of one from a rich one. Maybe racist wasn't the right term but the chart does not represent popular music globally just privileged countries that earn more; otherwise you'd be seeing Latin and Indian artists on there.
But back to the topic, using IFPI and a service half the size of Spotify with numbers nobody knows to gauge popularity is laughable

It seems bias towards US and Europe. Streaming platforms like Spotify and AM are all you need to see what people are directly consuming. I wish AM was more transparent with their numbers.
Bad Bunny is gonna outdo him there too.
Ofc. I just think Spotify will save Jack from a big flop.
@thegreatdivine how do you feel about just making this the official HDD thread - both for projections and official numbers

I'm cool with whatever.
This is what they did for CLB. Bad Bunny is gonna eat Jack Harlow alive.

Apple Music is where hip-hop dominates. If Jack can't dominate on Apple Music, I fear that Spotify won't be that much better.
